We recently welcomed Tim Farron MP to our development in Ambleside to discuss the importance of affordable housing in this beautiful but increasingly challenging area for locals to secure homes. With demand high and a significant number of homes held as second properties, securing housing in popular Lake District spots like Ambleside has become difficult for many local residents. We recently completed the renovation at Castletown Community Centre, home to Wetheriggs United Football Club! ⚽️ As proud supporters of the Club, we’re honoured to have contributed to creating a refreshed and functional space that serves both the WUFC team and the wider community. Led by Barry Turner, Chairman of Wetheriggs United and a Director at Atkinsons, the renovation was made possible with funding support from the Football Foundation, Westmorland and Furness Council, Penrith Town Council, and Penrith Lottery. The upgrades include: - Replastering and insulation of internal walls - Installation of a new window to enhance natural light - Comprehensive electrical work - Reduction of ceiling height with the addition of acoustic panels - New furniture for improved comfort Beyond serving as a post-match hub for the football team, the revamped space is ideal for hosting functions, meetings, and other community events.

🛠 Project Complete: Ghyllmount Dental Practice Extension 🛠   We’re thrilled to unveil the newly extended Ghyllmount Dental Practice in Penrith! The customer’s priority was to make the space fully functional as quickly as possible, and we delivered - completing the project in just 7 weeks! The extension adds 2 new surgeries fully equipped with top-of-the-line equipment, a consultation room, office, and a spacious waiting area, enhancing both patient experience and practice efficiency.   Our skilled team worked with precision across all aspects, from plumbing and heating to electrical work and plastering. Extra care was taken to meet specific requirements, such as constructing lead-lined walls for x-ray use, ensuring safety and functionality.

And they’ve done it!
