Our plant investment continues! 👀 Investment in our fleet continues as we look to support new contracts across Northern England and Southern Scotland. This includes purchase of two brand new, state of the art road sweepers worth over £500,000! ✅ Thanks to Scania UK's excellent customer service, both road sweepers have now been delivered to our busy surfacing division in time for our forthcoming major road schemes. #dsdconstruction #investment #surfacing #sweepers

Another Apprentice update! 👷♂️ As part of our Dennis Nugent Apprenticeship Scheme, we are proud to introduce our apprentice groundworker, Oliver Denvir. Oliver has been with DSD Construction since October 2022 working in our nuclear division on projects such as the Sellafield Repack and Replacement Analytical Projects in West Cumbria. Oliver's wide ranging duties include excavating, laying ducts and drainage, preparing for and carrying out concrete pours and laying kerbs. He balances his work with studies at Lakes College in Workington on a day release basis. ✅ We are looking forward to seeing Oliver develop his career at DSD Construction, and we will support him on his journey to become a qualified site engineer. Partnership update! 🤝 As part of our ongoing collaboration with Cumberland Council , we are proud to have recently completed 38 schemes with a combined value of £10m. Another £228k plant investment! 💪 As we continue to invest in our surfacing division plant fleet, we are excited to announce the addition of 2 brand new Dynapac CS1400 V Rollers. Apprentice update! 👷♂️ As part of our Dennis Nugent Apprenticeship Scheme, we are proud to introduce our apprentice, Cole Dooley, who has been making impressive progress on our Northumberland County Council and NY Highways framework contracts. Cole is excelling in his role, including keeping laying records, vehicle banksman duties and general labouring. Cole balances work with studies at Derwentside College in Newcastle, attending 1 week each month to further his development. ✅ We're looking forward to seeing Cole's growth as he begins training on the road roller and progresses to larger plant. Another large scheme completed as part of the Levelling Up Fund programme! 👷♂️ We have recently concluded another resurfacing and repair scheme as our work continues on the LUF programme for Cumberland Council. The Levelling Up Fund (LUF) programme includes extensive improvement works on several of the main commuter roads in Cumbria, including: • The A5086 between Cockermouth and Egremont. • The A595 south of Sellafield. • The A590 through Barrow-in-Furness. This scheme's scope of work consisted of all resurfacing and repair works on sections of the A595 - a busy route through the heart of Cumbria.
