Our portfolio company, PRIAM CYBER AI’s co-founder Paolo Di Prodi, recently appeared on the Cognitive Security Institute’s podcast to discuss the limitations of #AI and #LLM technologies, along with the critical role of human behavior in significantly enhancing efficiency and overcoming limitations of human capacity. 🎙️🤖 Priam Cyber AI is dedicated to making cybersecurity operations scalable, cost-effective, and efficient through its AI-driven next-gen incident response platform, AVA (Advanced Virtual Analyst). AVA reduces false-positive alert volumes by over 80%, saving thousands of cybersecurity man-hours while improving key operations metrics by 80-96%. 🌟🚀 As a layer on top of existing risk detection tools (such as Crowdstrike, Fortinet, IBM QRadar, MS Sentinel & Defender), AVA provides a unified platform to manage these tools more effectively and elevate in-house or third-party cybersecurity capabilities. We invite you to listen to the podcast here: https://lnkd.in/d54KTSyM 🎧

Our partner Onur Canlitepe participated in the 44th edition of GITEX GLOBAL Largest Tech & Startup Show in the World / Expand North Star, last week. It was a great opportunity to connect with the global tech community 🌍. With over 1,800 startups and participation from 180+ countries, the GITEX event showcased innovation across AI, energy, climate tech, industrial technologies, mobility, and more. The scale of the event, focusing on startups and other technology companies, was truly impressive, spanning 12 halls filled with entrepreneurs, investors, and corporate and public stakeholders from around the globe. We also had the chance to meet with various industry leaders and innovators, particularly in our focus areas of industrial digitalization and decarbonization 🌱. This event allowed us to establish meaningful connections in the MENA region, where we look forward to expanding our reach and fostering new business and co-investment opportunities. It’s encouraging to see the MENA region, and specifically, the UAE, emerging as a major regional technology investor, even in the early stages. We look forward to leveraging these connections to continue supporting innovative tech startups 🚀. For any VC or startup looking to invest or establish a presence in the MENA region, the UAE is a very attractive location to explore further, especially with an on-the-ground presence to serve clients in the wider region while contributing to the fast-evolving local technology ecosystem and human capital development. We look forward to working with like-minded investors and business partners from the UAE and the wider region to expand our portfolio companies’ footprint! #GITEX2024 #ExpandNorthStar #Startups #Technology #VentureCapital

Our partner, Onur Canlitepe, has recently attended the 5th Athens Triennial Meeting, organized by Bayes Business School and the ONASSIS FOUNDATION, and was pleasantly surprised by the breadth of innovation happening within the maritime sector. Key innovation themes are emerging, reshaping the way this industry operates: 🚢 Route Optimization – Cutting costs and emissions through smarter navigation. 🔧 Predictive Maintenance – Keeping vessels in top shape, reducing downtime with advanced monitoring. 📶 IoT & Connectivity – Enhancing performance through real-time data and monitoring systems. ⚙️ Engine & Fuel Consumption Monitoring – Tracking energy use to improve efficiency and sustainability. 🛡️ Safety & Crew Training – Leveraging technology for safer seas and better-trained personnel. ⛽ New Fuels – The future of energy in shipping with cleaner, greener alternatives. The scale of transformation taking place in the maritime sector is impressive, proving that even the most traditional industries are moving towards embracing technology and innovation. ⚙️ 🌍 At Atlas Ventures, we are actively seeking investment opportunities in startups innovating in these domains. If you’re a founder or startup in this space, we’d love to connect! 📩

On behalf of Atlas Ventures, our partner Duran Cesur participated in the Supply Chain breakfast hosted by AlbionVC and Project A last week. 🚀 At Atlas Ventures, we are seeing a shift in supply chain investments beyond the traditional categories like freight, last-mile delivery, and fulfillment. Automation is taking center stage: from robotic solutions addressing labor shortages in blue-collar work to AI and GenAI increasing efficiency in white-collar tasks. 🤖💼 Regulatory changes, such as CBAM, are also driving new opportunities in sustainability and compliance, and we’re observing a rise in procurement-related innovations. 🌍📈 As industrial tech investors, we’re encouraged by the VC community’s increasing focus on supply chain and manufacturing, which is helping to build a stronger ecosystem for innovation across different stages. A big thank you to Valérie Aelbrecht for organizing the event and bringing together supply chain entrepreneurs and investors from Singular, Nine Realms, JOIN CAPITAL, Signal Ventures. 🙌
