We need an inclusive, equitable and regenerative economic system for all people and the planet.

About us

B Corps are accelerating a global culture shift to redefine success in business and build a more inclusive and sustainable economy. B Corp Certification is the only certification that measures a company’s entire social and environmental performance. Certified B Corporations achieve a minimum verified score on the B Impact Assessment, proving their business is meeting the highest standards of verified performance. B Corp Certification doesn’t just prove where a company excels now—it commits them to consider stakeholder impact for the long term by building it into a company’s legal structure. The B Impact Assessment evaluates a company’s operations and business model impact on their workers, community, environment, and customers. Certified B Corporations make their B Impact Report transparent on bcorporation.uk Let's turn ideas into action. After two action-packed days at the B Corp Festival, full of thought-provoking conversations and turning ideas into action, we posed the question to festival attendees: What are you going to do or change as a result of your learnings at Louder Than Words? After all, actions speak louder than words. Organising carbon literacy training for the team, collaborating with fellow #BCorp board members, revisiting hiring practices to embed inclusivity, and assessing how to reduce beauty purchasing and consumption habits were just a few of the commitments. We’d love to know what you vowed to do or change — if you couldn't join us in person, the question still stands. What one action do you think you could take to work towards making business a force for good? Share with us in the comments. 👇 #BCorpFestivalUK

“Where over 2,000 B Corps in the UK have led, others must now follow. It’s time to redefine the role of business within our economic system so that all UK businesses become a force for good.” Looking back on last week’s momentous B Corp Festival, Louder than Words, our Executive Director, Chris Turner, delivers a powerful reminder: It’s not enough for a select few to contribute and show a different way of doing business. Every business and individual can lead the change to shape an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economic system that works for both people and the planet. 👏 Read Chris' piece for Raconteur | B Corp™: https://bit.ly/47rKsMO #BCorpFestivalUK #BetterBusinessAct

That’s a wrap! 🎉 1,300 people coming together in Oxford for what can only be described as a momentous milestone for the UK B Corp movement. The powerful main stage sessions — day one focused on looking from the inside out, and day two from the outside in. We tackled big topics like ensuring a just climate transition, challenging the system, buying out of need rather than want, why justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion is everyone’s responsibility, and hearing impact stories from our community. Thank you to all the main stage speakers who sparked thought-provoking discussions. The fringe sessions were equally unforgettable. They delved into key issues such as climate justice, the diversity gap in the ESG sector, the true meaning of a fair wage, and whether investors are genuinely interested in supporting purpose-driven businesses. We had everything from B Corp speed dating, a barrister putting travel on trial, checking the labels on our pants and exploring two-meter-high versions of the evolving B Corp standards in the ‘Walk the Talk’ exhibition. A big thank you to all the session hosts — your creativity has amazed us. 💡 And who could forget the surprises between sessions? Dancing to jazz with a Womble, gymnasts, thought-provoking raps and performances, all down to the incredible team at Justice in Motion. A huge thank you to our super seven, sponsors, events makers and hosts Shonali Devereaux (she / her) and Mathilde Gerritsma — Louder Than Words wouldn’t have been possible without your support. An extra special shout-out to the B Lab UK team and our event partner, Warwick Events | Certified B Corporation; your hard work has truly paid off. Lastly, a huge thank you to YOU, our festival attendees. Your energy and enthusiasm made this event extraordinary. Share in the comments what actions you’ve committed to as a result of Louder Than Words. 👇 There is so much more to take away from the festival, but we’re close to our LinkedIn character limit, so stay tuned. We’ll be sharing lots more about the sessions in the coming weeks. For now, we’ll leave you with Amy Clarke’s inspiring words: “The system isn’t broken. It’s working exactly as it was built, but those values have resulted in something that is now wrong. We have to accept that the system is not broken, it’s just not working, and we need to change it.” Who's ready for the challenge? 💪 #BCorpFestivalUK

“It was really inspiring. In 2012 and 2013 people thought we were mad. ‘Why would you tie yourself to this?’ We had to say it was because we really believe in the idea that business can be the greatest force for good. We were the nut jobs then; now there are 2,000 nut jobs. It’s brilliant. The culture is changing.” Richard Tyler joined us at Louder Than Words, chatting with speakers and #BCorps to learn more about what the largest-ever gathering of UK B Corps means to the community. As we step into day two of Louder Than Words, we’re filled with the energy and success of an unforgettable day one! 🎉 The morning began with a powerful performance from Justice in Motion reminding us that the time for systemic change is now. Charmian (Char) Love, global director of advocacy and co-founder of B Lab UK and Chris Turner, executive director of B Lab UK then took us on an inspiring journey through B Lab UK’s incredible story and bold vision for the future. Imagine a world where, in 10 years, every UK business is a force for good — that’s the ambition we’re striving for! B Lab leaders from around the globe — Clay Brown, interim lead executive of B Lab, Lucy Muigai, CEO of B Lab Africa , Judy Rodrigues, director of standards at B Lab and Rosalind Holley, director of Marketing and communications, B Lab UK. Sulaiman R. Khan (سلیمان راشد خان) R Khan, founder of This Ability, left us with a call to action that resonates deeply: “Diversity and inclusion is not enough. We must go beyond diversity to have equity as a foundational tool for justice.” Mary Portas delivered another powerful message — the role of beauty and desire in inspiring others to join this transformative journey. The B Corp-led fringe sessions sparked deep discussions, from debates in Oxford’s Council Chamber on workplace flexibility to asking the hard question: can big business truly be a force for good? Even the wombles joined the party, dancing to jazz! And to end the night, we gathered in a buzzing, jam-packed pub for the B Social to continue getting to know each other and inspiring collaboration — a fitting end to an incredible day. As we come together today, we encourage you to bring a commitment — to take action, to change something — because today is not just about conversation; it’s about transformation. We’ll be asking you to share your commitment on the app. Before we head to Oxford’s New Theatre, let’s carry these words from Charmian (Char) Love into day two: “The problems in the world are connected, so we must be connected.” Together, we can change the world. #LouderThanWords #BTheChange
