We are thrilled to introduce Mrs Lisa Crook, who has been appointed as Banstead Prep’s Deputy Headteacher – Teaching, Learning and Innovation and will begin her new role in the summer term. Lisa is currently the Deputy Headteacher at Homefield Preparatory School and brings a wealth of diverse experience in strategic leadership and innovation in both independent and state primary and secondary schools. Reflecting on her reasons for joining BPS, Lisa shared, “I wanted to work at Banstead Prep because I believe in creating an environment where every child feels valued and empowered to express themselves and achieve their full potential. I’m excited to become part of a community that actively encourages children to be the very best version of themselves and supports their unique journeys.”

So proud that our Learner Powers - how we've embedded the development of skills that prepare the children for their exciting future life into our broad curriculum at Banstead Prep - have been recognised as a significant strength of the school.
“Pupils’ self-knowledge is well-developed through the school’s focus on supporting them to develop the right habits and attitudes to learn successfully, such as adaptability, collaboration, curiosity, independence, leadership and resilience. Pupils use and demonstrate these when learning in each subject. This increases their knowledge, skills and understanding. Furthermore, pupils recognise that these characteristics apply not only to their current learning but to their future lives, senior education and eventual employment as well. Pupils’ progress and achievements are enhanced by their use of these characteristics when they work individually and in groups. This is a significant strength of the school.” Banstead Preparatory School, ISI Inspection Report 2024

"Because children grow up, we think a child's purpose is to grow up. But a child's purpose is to be a child" - Tom Stoppard. Watch this film to understand why play - at all ages - is so important to children's development and future success. Visit us to see how the children at Banstead Prep learn through play, exploration and experimentation. "Pupils are encouraged to take calculated risks because teachers place emphasis on investigation and experimentation as a natural extension of play, even with the oldest year groups. This is successful as pupils broaden their thinking and appreciate why mistakes are valuable opportunities for learning." - ISI Inspection November 2024 Film credit: The Bonjour Agency

The children and staff love the transformation and are enjoying the use of this renovated space. Thank you, Medlec Group
Look at what our team's been up to at Banstead Preparatory School. We've just finished a fantastic classroom refurbishment that's making a real difference to daily school life. Anyone who's spent time in a classroom knows how important good lighting is - especially with today's mix of traditional and digital learning. Medlec Group fitted specialist LED strips (supplied by Illuma), managed the installation of new flooring, and gave everything a fresh coat of paint. And yes, we did it all without disrupting any lessons - our team worked around the school's schedule to keep everything running smoothly. https://lnkd.in/e9QFsifr Swipe through to see how it turned out 👉 —- Medlec Group delivers expert electrical, fire, security, HVAC, & building maintenance services. We had such a great time capturing what’s special about Banstead Prep with Simon - look out for our new mini videos, we are looking forward to sharing them.
I create podcasts, photos and videos for school marketing or alumni engagement. Training for school marketing teams too. Global.
🤓 One of the SMARTEST people I know in Admissions & Marketing. Text version below if you don’t want to watch the video (see who it is, you might know them ⬇️). Not long ago I was on a video shoot in a school. I was shooting ‘8 mini videos’ (super popular this academic year) where I spend a day in a school shooting enough content to produce eight short videos around about a minute long each. 🎥 The first video of the day was a ‘Meet the Head’ video. It's a classic for the homepage or on the About section on your website. (You've probably recorded one of these videos in the past for your school website.) During the shooting of that first video the Head was speaking for about 7-8 minutes (of course, I didn't want to stop him from talking). But after he'd gone I said to the Marketing person, “This is going to be really tricky to cut down to one minute. We're going to have a LOT of spare footage…” And the marketing person said, “It's okay, I've thought about this already and I'm going to ask you to send across the content that you don't use in the video for the 8 mini videos and we'll use it ourselves. We'll put something together using CapCut or Canva or something like that.” How genius is this??! Absolutely amazing value for money because now they’re not getting 8 videos but almost as many as they want! Value for Money on a shoot day like this gets me really excited. This was a super-smart thing to do. And if you’re still reading this it’s probably because you want to know who I’m talking about. So a big shout out to the amazing Adrienne Forster from Banstead Preparatory School. So impressed at this! Meanwhile, if you’re interested in 8 mini videos for your school we’re running a special offer until Wednesday December 18th. Link in the Comments below, or let me know if you’d like more info. Shout out to the team here at The Bonjour Agency as always: Antonis, Charlie, Christian and Lisa. Now, let’s get to that Christmas vacation time! 🎄🎅🎄
