We are thrilled to introduce Mrs Lisa Crook, who has been appointed as Banstead Prep’s Deputy Headteacher – Teaching, Learning and Innovation and will begin her new role in the summer term. Lisa is currently the Deputy Headteacher at Homefield Preparatory School and brings a wealth of diverse experience in strategic leadership and innovation in both independent and state primary and secondary schools. Reflecting on her reasons for joining BPS, Lisa shared, “I wanted to work at Banstead Prep because I believe in creating an environment where every child feels valued and empowered to express themselves and achieve their full potential. I’m excited to become part of a community that actively encourages children to be the very best version of themselves and supports their unique journeys.”

We are exceptionally proud of receiving a ‘significant strength’ in our Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) Inspection in November, which sets Banstead Prep apart from other schools in the local area and places us in the top 10% of ISI inspected schools. The report recognises our success in delivering a modern education for a bright future through Banstead Prep’s learner powers, highlighting that the children’s “self-knowledge is well-developed through the school’s focus on supporting them to develop the right habits and attitudes to learn successfully such as adaptability, collaboration, curiosity, independence, leadership and resilience” and noting that the children “recognise these characteristics apply not only to their current learning, but to their future lives.” Inspectors judged that the children’s “progress and achievements are enhanced by their use of these characteristics when they work individually and in groups” and that “This is a significant strength of the school.” You can read and enjoy the full report here: https://bit.ly/3Wm37Fz
