Barwood's latest Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) assessment was a huge success! The PRI is a UN-supported network of responsible investment that encourages investors globally to incorporate environmental, social, and governance factors into their decisions. Overall, our PRI score has increased by 73%! We've achieved significant improvements across all modules, with particularly outstanding progress in our Confidence Building Measures (reaching 100%) and Policy Governance and Strategy (74%). Over the course of 2024, our Impact Committee delivered on ambitious goals including comprehensive carbon footprint analysis, implementing green leases, and launching our supplier ESG questionnaire. We're especially proud of our strengthened governance framework and the integration of our sustainability index across all asset types. BCCIM, a joint venture between Barwood Capital and Caisson iO, has successfully completed its seventh acquisition on behalf of the Urban Industrial Income LP (UII) with the purchase of Airfield Industrial Estate in Christchurch. BCCIM plans to rebrand the estate while working closely with existing occupiers, including Howdens and General All Purpose Plastics Ltd, to enhance its long-term value. A key focus will be reviewing and improving the estate’s sustainability credentials and attracting a new tenant that complements the estate’s current occupier mix. This acquisition is an excellent addition to UII, aligning well with our overall fund strategy as we continue to expand the portfolio.
