The importance of being able to withstand financial challenges and shocks has come to the fore in recent years, particularly during the cost of living crisis. Supporting the financial resilience of members and local communities is a key area of focus for building societies and credit unions. Financial education is a important tool in the journey to achieving financial resilience, particularly for young people. If we can encourage good habits and understanding early in life, they are much more likely to continue into adulthood. Bath Building Society has partnered with WizeUp Financial Education for over five years, delivering financial education workshops to local schools and sixth forms. In an article for the BSA, Emma Davis, DipPFS, Cert CII (FS) and Michael Flack share the highlights of this partnership and the work within the building society sector to widen the provision of financial education -https://lnkd.in/emUcfQQX #BuildingSocieties #FinancialInclusion #LifeSkills
