BC Partners Real Estate (BCPRE) is pleased to announce the start of construction of its development of a new R&D facility for Infineon Technologies in Warstein, Germany. The building will provide state-of-the-art laboratory and office space for up to 500 employees, utilising a flex desk system. The project is expected to achieve a BREEAM Excellent environmental certification, with works scheduled for completion by the summer of 2026. For 78 years, Infineon has been at the forefront of developing and producing innovative technologies at the Warstein site, meeting the growing demands for energy and mobility. In addition to sustainable product solutions, Infineon is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2030. Therefore, the new building will be constructed using a wood-hybrid construction method and a KfW40 energy standard, with a focus on reducing the CO2 footprint. As Nikos Stathopoulos said in a recent PEI article: "Everyone, especially LPs, are talking about how DPI is the new IRR." And we couldn't agree more! Here are three key DPI-focused analyses you can run on DealEdge to benchmark your deals and provide valuable insights: 🔴 Number of deals by DPI: This analysis allows firms to see a breakdown of the distribution of DPI by various dimensions such as industry and geography. It helps identify which sectors or regions have the largest proportion of good and/or bad deals.    🔴 Deal Landscape: A marimekko chart offering an overview of DPI performance sorted against total invested capital or the count of deals. We're pleased to share that the BC Partners Foundation is partnering with Spread a Smile. The Foundation's aim is to support the incredible work of Spread a Smile, helping to bring happiness and spread smiles to seriously ill children and their families in hospital. To kick off the partnership, the BC Partners Central Functions Team recently tapped into their artistic side to help create some beautiful window art to be distributed to Spread a Smile’s NHS hospital partners. The artworks will help to enrich the wards and bring a little bit of joy and distraction to young patients undergoing treatment in hospital. A team of Spread a Smile artists led the session with passion and expertise, bringing their wealth of personal experience from supporting young patients in hospital. That’s a wrap! Our CEO/CFO Conference has come to a close for another year. Over the last three days, we’ve hosted c.40 senior executives from across the BC Partners portfolio who, along with our outstanding guest speakers and the BC Partners team, shared insights, expertise, and best practices with each other.   This year’s theme was ‘Navigating the Shifting Sands’, and we need to say a special thanks to everyone who helped us explore this topic by sharing their perspectives on stage this year, including Bobby Yerramilli-Rao (Microsoft) and Jens Larsen (Eurasia Group), as well as the many executives from across the BC Partners platform who made the conference so engaging.   As always, it is invaluable spending time together, forging connections and sharing ideas for building better businesses. We look forward to the next one!
