On Tuesday 25th June we held our grand opening event for our two new purpose built mental health inpatient hospitals in the West Midlands, Cygnet Hospital Oldbury and Cygnet Hospital Wolverhampton. The event was held at Cygnet Hospital Wolverhampton and featured speeches from Dr Tony Romero, Group CEO, Stephen Firn, CEO of our healthcare division and a particularly powerful contribution from Euan Atkinson, an Expert by Experience. We were also delighted to welcome the Mayor of the City of Wolverhampton, Cllr Linda Leach who had a tour of the service and who performed the official ribbon cutting. Today we were delighted to hold our Grand Opening event for Cygnet Hospital Wolverhampton and Cygnet Hospital Oldbury. The hospitals will offer Psychiatric Intensive Care Units (PICU) and acute services for adults, with the female services located at Oldbury and the male services at Wolverhampton. The hospitals were officially opened by the Mayor of the City of Wolverhampton, Cllr Linda Leach, and Cygnet CEO Dr Tony Romero at a ribbon cutting ceremony at Cygnet Hospital Wolverhampton. Guests were treated to mocktails, lunch and a tour of the facilities. Dr Romero said: “With the increase in need for specialist mental health services, we want to be part of the solution and work together with the NHS to provide the best treatment and facilities to help people on their recovery journey. “The new hospitals will ensure that people from the West Midlands can receive the treatment and care they need close to family and friends.” Find out more below: https://ow.ly/9kcH50Sp7n3
