If the thought of networking makes you sweat, you’re not alone! 4 years ago, I attended my first conference and was terrified to talk to anyone. Fast forward to today, and I’ve earned the title “Queen of Networking” 👑 (or maybe not 😅). We’ve all been there—awkward small talk, long days, and trying to make a lasting impression. But guess what? It doesn’t have to be that hard. With conference season kicking off, it feels like the perfect time to share a few tips I’ve picked up along the way. So, here’s the Networking Starter Pack You Didn’t Know You Needed 🙃: – Icebreakers that won’t make you cringe (I hope) – Packing essentials to keep you sane (because painkillers and throat candies are lifesavers) – A LinkedIn QR code hack that’ll make you look like a pro Here’s the thing: people won’t remember your job title, but they’ll always remember how you made them feel. So relax, be yourself, and have fun connecting! P.S. Which tip surprised you the most? 😄 And what is your top tip? I hope to see a lot of you tomorrow at LegalGeek and at least you know who to ask if you need a painkiller 💊🙃

“Being delusional saved my career.” Apparently, out of everything I said (earlier this week) as a speaker on a panel about personal branding, that’s what stuck with people the most. And honestly, I stand by it. Sometimes, a little bit of #delulu is exactly what you need to push yourself out there and start something new. Fear can hold us back, but if you let go of that, who knows where it can lead you? Putting ourselves out there is scary, especially in business. And in an industry that’s often perceived as “serious”? (Hello Legal 👋) Even more so. But here’s the thing—you’re likely not the only one feeling too tight in that infamous “box” everyone believe they need to fit in. A little boldness—ignoring the “what ifs”—can be the game changer. I loved hearing Elisabetta Torretti and Marina Milosev’s personal stories that led them to where they are right now. Sometimes, you have to create spaces and opportunities for yourself. 🌶️Their secret ingredients? Curiosity, passion, consistency… and TIME!! Huge thanks to Anaïs Comot for bringing us together in a room full of powerful women with incredible stories to share. There’s something magic about being in the right place, at the right time, with the right people. And I’m so glad I put myself out there because it led me to that exact moment. 💙 Feeling inspired. So, here’s your reminder: go wear that crown—virtual or real—and get yourself out there! 👑 🚨Also, who would be up for a workshop on how to embrace delusion to unstuck your power?

Happy Monday, everyone—especially those who might need a little extra sunshine today. ☀️ Mental health is unfortunately still somehow taboo and isn’t something we should talk about just when it’s a crisis—it’s part of our daily experience. We all know someone or in certain cases have been that someone surviving burnout, struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, or even suicidal thoughts. It’s ok to need a little extra support now and then. I know I do. Tonight at 5 PM UK time (6 PM CET), I’ll be joining Karol Valencia and 🎗Maria Parker🎗 for a LinkedIn Live to have an honest conversation about mental health and how it ties into legal innovation. Let’s create spaces where these conversations can happen more freely, without the pressure of perfection. Not every day is bright, but if you’ve got a little sunshine to spare, make sure to share it. 🙌🏽 Link to join the conversation or access the replay!👇👇 https://lnkd.in/eNjChusG #LetsTalk

From “It could be me…” to “it is me!” 👑✨ If I’m being honest, I’ve always believed my voice deserved to be heard, but for the longest time, I stayed passive. I was passionate about innovation, mental health, being human, etc., but putting myself out there used to feel forced—like I wasn’t sure if it could really be me. What changed? Watching others show up in ways that felt unconventional for our industry. It sparked something in me—a realization that maybe it could be me too. When I first started posting on LinkedIn, it was because the urge became too strong to ignore, but I was scared to death before every post. Still, I kept at it. For me, building a personal brand has been about showing up with intention. You can’t control how others perceive you, but when you fully embrace who you are, it somehow shows through. I could say I felt overlooked for speaking opportunities, but the reality is, I wasn’t really asking or knocking at every door there is. (Not that it would have made a difference then) It’s as if I thought my expertise would just shine on its own. But creating a personal brand is about more than that—it’s about being willing to put yourself out there, even when it’s messy. It’s constantly evolving. So when Anaïs Comot asked me to join her panel, I felt incredibly proud that “it could be me” up there with inspiring women like Elisabetta Torretti and Marina Milosev 🌟 🚨🗓️If you’re in London on October 2nd, I’d love for you to join us for this IN-PERSON event! It’s going to be a night of community, learning, and lifting each other up. Because it could be you too! 👑

Is there a trait that people may see as a weakness but has been your biggest secret superpower? I’ve always been a bit naive, but let’s be real—being naive has opened doors I didn’t even know were supposed to be closed to me. Six years ago, I left behind what felt like a fully written career as a French employment lawyer to start from scratch in the UK. I went from being a lawyer to wearing many temporary hats—waitress, corporate receptionist, tutor, event hostess, brand ambassador… you name it! All while praying I’d have enough to pay my bills. Through it all, I had this unshakable conviction that things would work out for me. 🚨Spoiler alert: it did! But definitely not in the package I expected. And even just 18 months ago, when the legal tech industry faced massive layoffs and I was made redundant, I transformed it into an opportunity to make a difference and started what soon became a movement of embracing royal energy across the legal industry. 👑✨ I realized early in life that there’s a pattern for all good things. Every big change in my life has come with a hefty price. Obviously, every time on my happy way to rock bottom, I’d question my sanity or worth, but those moments were always fleeting. Call me delusional, but when I finally reach rock bottom, that’s when I celebrate—because from there, the only way is up! It’s just logic. I’ve faced many complicated moments, but it’s my naivety that’s made the difference. Being naive is what kept that smile on my face and my legendary Queen energy despite circumstances. To all the naive dreamers out there 👑🥂—shall we create a support group? Gen Z might call it #delulu, but I call it opportunities! What’s your controversial superpower? 🦸🏻♀️👀

From practicing law in France to sampling mince pies on London’s rainy streets! Exactly 6 years ago, I moved to London and began a journey that changed (and humbled) me! Moving here on my own, knowing just one person I had met while traveling, was one of the biggest challenges I’d ever faced. Leaving a comfortable life to live precariously hustling between minimum wage paid jobs in an even more precarious flat (sharing a bedroom with another human being never met before and mice 🐁) It pushed me far beyond my comfort zone, but it also taught me something invaluable: my worth isn’t defined by a job title. The first few months in London helped me develop some of my greatest professional assets—resilience, social skills, sales, creativity, and hospitality. I could have chosen a career in France, but I’m grateful to my almost 28-year-old self for taking the leap into the unknown and starting over from scratch. Career breaks, setbacks, and detours don’t determine our worth—they shape us into better versions of ourselves. 👑 🥂Here’s to singing in the rain, embracing risks, and trusting the journey! 🥂☔️ From hustling to spreading the Queen Energy 👑 👀What’s the craziest thing you did in your career that somehow turned out ok? P.S.: I am celebrating this with a cheeky Nando’s but Greggs was a close contender 😅 #anniversary 🎉🍾 #careerchange

There are days when I feel stuck in a loop of « What the *?! am I even doing? Then something happens that makes me realize I am living one of my many dreams from a past version of myself. Back in 2020, I came across Robert Hanna ‘s profile and then podcast. I was amazed and instantly became a fan. Not only did he build a strong following, but he also managed to create a community across the industry that shares his values and can’t believe I am part of it! So believe me, Leila of 2020, 2021 would have screamed at the opportunity to be on the Legally Speaking Podcast ™️ 🥳 I’ll say it again: I will never take for granted the chance to use my voice publicly because it did not always come easily—whether due to a lack of opportunities or confidence (but that’s a story for another day). Anyhoo!! Why should you tune in? 👀 Rob says it better than me: 1️⃣ It is only 6 minutes!! #TimeIsMoney Chatterbox—ADHD in check during this very short episode of the Legally Speaking Podcast. 2️⃣ Gain actionable insights on enhancing transparency and innovation in your firm. 3️⃣ Learn from one of the leading voices in legal tech and community building. (AKA my humble self 🙈) 4️⃣ Discover practical tips for fostering a supportive and innovative workplace environment. 5️⃣ And last but not least, it is an opportunity to finally understand what the heck I am doing for a living! 👑 Here’s a spoiler: I am not a professional FOMO event creator, but if such an opportunity exists, please let me know! 😅 I did my best in 6 minutes 💜 🚨Also, if you listen to the end, there is some big news for Beautiful Souls in Legal(Tech) happening very soon 👑 I am taking the risk to have this post sent into LinkedIn Oblivion - but you can find the links to the episode here 🎧🎙️ 🍎 Apple Podcasts 👉https://lnkd.in/e4zG9_xk 🎙️ Spotify 👉 https://lnkd.in/eYm4Xb5z

Sshhhh don’t let them know legal can be fun!! 🤫🤐 Would you believe all these amazing people are lawyers or navigating the legal world? 👑 I spent the last few days at Legal Tech Talk, spreading some royal energy. While I’m recuperating and triaging the 300+ photos I’ve taken 😱 (what was I thinking??), trying to find a way to summarize my experience and share the highlights… I thought I’d introduce you to the wonderful people proudly wearing their crowns. For those who don’t know, about a year ago, I decided to be the change I wanted to see. The crowns symbolize taking back power over our narrative and how we want to show up and be seen at work. Individuals have the power to shape the culture and drive real change when it comes to DEIB. There is enough light for everyone, and after a year, I am convinced that sparkles have a magical effect on people. 👀 Anyhoo! Who can you spot in the video? 👑 Can you guess how many portraits were taken in this video? Also I have given 2 crowns because they are meant to be given and shared! Which brings to a total number of 44 crowns given in a year!! If you want to be part of the tiara revolution with Beautiful Souls in Legal(Tech), don’t hesitate to reach out! 💌 #EmbraceYourInnerQueenEnergy #diversityAndInclusion #lawyers #inspireChange #legaltechtalk
