Not going to lie: last week was a pretty special one. During the Microsoft AI tour I had a chance to sit down with Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella, to discuss what we can do together. We already collaborate with Microsoft, but we will do more - stay tuned! My personal takeaway: Satya is impressively knowledgeable even in niche verticals. He knows what is going on in other industries, he knows the key players, technologies and challenges. For someone managing 230,000 people and servicing the entire business world, this is extraordinary. Microsoft’s big move towards AI is something he drives. He wants to build an ecosystem around the technology and they are serious about it. Some interesting learnings from the other “not so public” sessions, fireside chats and dinners: ⚖ “Legal is an important and focus vertical for Microsoft, and it is clear that we will invest in geo and industry-specific hosting/cloudspace.” 🤝 “Microsoft is maybe the most horizontal workflow company - BRYTER is a vertical workflow company, this makes a lot of sense.” Microsoft’s strategy is to partner with verticalized companies to build an ecosystem — a smart way to approach markets. 💡“You cannot get fit by watching other go to the gym”. Straight-forward advice for business leaders: get your hands on the tech YOURSELF. Play, test, learn. Understanding this technology is too important to delegate. ❗ “There will be blood in the water.” First movers will have the advantage. You need to be fast at leveraging tech to have a competitive advantage. Heated discussions amongst attendees - as you imagine. Thank you Jan Sudworth & the Microsoft Partnership team for supporting and making this possible. Micha-Manuel Bues Michael Hübl Joanna Sidhu János Szedelényi Amr Abdelwahab BRYTER

Legal AI training and education startup Wickard AI announced it will be teaching a two-day AI training program in Ethiopia at the Addis Ababa University Law School in November. The partnership aims to advance legal education in the country as Ethiopia moves to bolster its local legal industry. “We think this is going to be a hotspot for legal growth as well as just investment in business, and we want to be able to get in early to help train people in the law schools so they could use AI and really maximize the opportunities that they have in business and law there,” said Oliver Roberts, Co-Founder of Wickard AI. “This initiative will provide our community with valuable insights into the future of law and technology, helping to prepare the next generation of legal professionals in Ethiopia to thrive in a rapidly evolving global landscape,” he said. https://lnkd.in/evXATEaz #LegalTechTalk #LegalTech #Legal #Law #LegalAI #Partnership
