Want to work with a brand activation that understands how to unlock growth? We're as curious about the numbers as we are about creative ideas, after all, we are here to create value, and drive growth. But here's the thing, too often clients aren't sharing enough information, or aren't super clear on what their objectives and outcomes required are to start with. Measurement IMO is a journey, not a destination. Rigour is needed and a questioning, collaborative approach along with a commitment to continuous improvement. 1% better everyday is a great mindset to have. #growth #measurement #activation #continuousimprovement #data #creativity

Calling all Netflix fans! Here’s your chance to own a piece of TV magic while supporting an incredible cause! 🎬 Netflix latest pop-up shop is a masterclass in fandom engagement. Offering iconic props and memorabilia from your favorite shows, it taps into fans’ love for connection—all while supporting mental health charity Mind. The “As Seen on Netflix” store, brought to life by The Experience Agency, launched in Bethnal Green, London, and is now taking Birmingham’s Bullring by storm with treasures from The Crown, Heartstopper, Bridgerton, and more. Why is this activation so powerful? Research shows that physical touchpoints with brands build emotional affinity and lasting loyalty, especially when there’s an element of exclusivity. This pop-up lets fans step into the Netflix universe, creating a personal link to the stories they love. High-interest items like Nick’s coat from Heartstopper (already bid up to £18,000!) and a replica of Charlie’s bedroom elevate the experience into a memorable, shareable moment. For fans who can’t make it in person, there’s still a slice of the action online. Mind is hosting an auction featuring unique items like Lady Whistledown’s original papers and Penelope Featherington’s headpiece from Bridgerton, further expanding access to superfans everywhere. ✨ And the final, winning ingredient? 100% of the proceeds support Mind, with every bid helping to fuel their essential work across England and Wales. By aligning with a meaningful cause, Netflix is meeting fans where it matters most—at the intersection of entertainment and impact. 💫 Thanks Campaign for the info on this one.

🧠 The Thinking Brain vs. The Feeling Brain 🧠 Yesterday was a challenging one, as we navigated a problem we encountered on a campaign with our client. We were quick to respond, own it, and move into solution mode. Its a hard one though, especially when you have exceptionally high standards as a team. I have no issue in saying, we take it personally. We care. I was reminded yesterday afternoon about the thinking and the feeling brain by one of my mentors.... that when stress hits hard, it’s all too easy to shift into what we call the "Feeling Brain." This part of the brain is incredible at reading emotions and keeping us safe, but it also has a natural negative bias—a tendency to focus on perceived threats. In high-stress moments, this narrow focus can cause us to spiral, seeing things from a singular, often negative lens. What happens? Our literal vision narrows, and our thoughts become laser-focused on what might go wrong. This negative loop is a survival mechanism, but it doesn't help us see the full picture. So what can we do (after you've had a wee pity party to yourself!)? Zoom out. 🌅 Here are some of the things I do, to tap into my "Thinking Brain" and find perspective: 💡 Look up and around. Change your physical view. Literally look our the window. 💡 Take a walk – physically moving helps you get unstuck. 💡 Get outdoors or shift environments. A change in scenery brings fresh perspectives. 💡 Reframe – ask yourself, "What’s really going on here?" and "What are the possible outcomes?" By taking a moment to break free from the spiral, you’ll gain clarity, reconnect with your thinking mind, and see opportunities where stress had you seeing only challenges. The view of my garden, the smells...simple things helped me reflect, zoom out and get the perspective I needed. #Mindset #Leadership #EmotionalIntelligence #MentalHealth #Resilience #Perspective #StressManagement #Neuroscience

I thought I'd reach out to my network to say Hi 👋. Because in the world of business development, it’s easy to feel like you’re on an island. While we thrive on connection and collaboration, the reality is that many outreach efforts can lead to silence. 📬 Every unanswered email or unreturned call can feel like a setback. It’s a reminder that, despite our best efforts, not everyone is ready to engage. But here’s the thing: this loneliness is part of the journey. What helps me push through? 1. Community: Surround yourself with fellow business developers. Sharing experiences can provide perspective and motivation. 2. Mindset: Every “no” brings you closer to a “yes.” Each interaction is a learning opportunity. 3. Celebrate Small Wins: Acknowledge progress, no matter how minor. Every connection is a step forward. 4. Gratitude for My Team: I’m lucky to be part of the amazing team at Because. Their dedication and talent keep me focused and inspired, reminding me that the right opportunity is just around the corner! For any biz dev people feeling like this currently you're not alone. Let's keep pushing forward! 💪 #BusinessDevelopment #Networking #Resilience

We've all had them, the annoying, ill-timed or irrelevant 'how did we do survey'. A short except from my work husband Gareth Brock's article for Mediaweek Australia on why brands must stop mistaking information for intimacy. Inspiring day at the Sponsorship News conference. A few snippets that have sat with me... 💡 Shaun Moody from Tennis Australia, challenging brands to push their rights holders hard (was it a call to slap them?! 🤣 ). Inspiring to hear how TA continues to level up their precinct game year on year. 💡 Anthony Everard sharing the story behind National Basketball League (NBL) HoopsFest. Understanding the critical role that governments have, in this case Tourism Western Australia, to support staging events which can ignite more than just CBD locations. The Sneakerland and giant interactive boombox sounded epic 💡 Stephanie Taylor from Swisse Wellness (part of H&H Group) getting into the nuts and bolts of their inspiring Olympics activation with the Inspired Unemployed. Those results are 🔥 💡 Better understanding the passion point that is motorsport. Rebecca Lawson, Ashlee Crawford Hayley Monteith Jayden Young. Interesting to hear how Motorsport is being embraced by relevant brands who are outside of the usual categories you'd expect to show up. And just how engaged and passionate the audience are. 💡 Kristy Rosser from Live Nation APAC, talking my love language - music! Don Elford, the stories about the stadium foyer (stark lighting and all) becoming a night club post Sam Smith just show we don't want it to end! And to my awesome panel guests, Alicia Lloyd Sarah De La Mare & Mark Edney. It was great to be able to hear you address how to work not just on big titles like the AFL, AO etc, but to give practical solutions for how to show up as a brand at smaller community events, the value of integration and how to balance the needs of the rights holder, brand and most importantly the fan. Thanks Matt Baxter and team for a great day. #sponsorship #activation #events #experientialmarketing #speaker #PR
