Zurich publishes first climate transition plan: https://lnkd.in/eHUjNbmd
Today we are publishing our first Climate Transition Plan. It addresses the dual imperative of climate change, how the world must rapidly reach net-zero emissions to avoid the most damaging impacts and simultaneously build greater resilience against the physical risks which will continue to grow even as we transition. The plan outlines the actions we take as a company to execute on our ambition to become net-zero by 2050 across our business. We cannot publish it without addressing the dependencies that will make or break it. For the world and us to succeed with the transition, we need the right public policy frameworks, development of new technologies and climate solutions, and an effective decarbonization of the real-world economy. This means we need to address both the demand and the supply side of the energy transition. 📖 Read our Climate Transition Plan and join us on this crucial journey: www.zurich.com/CTP #ZurichMissionZero #ClimateAction #Sustainability #ClimateResilience #NetZero #TransitionPlan

Hot topic incoming! AI has the potential to hit 'fast forward' on the roll-out of sustainable and inclusive insurance products. There are also unknowns and potential threats to consider, such as reinforcing inequalities through biases. We're really looking forward to this panel at Accelerate Sustainability on 1 Oct (https://lnkd.in/ey6WzBB2) featuring Paolo Cuomo, Generali head of innovation Danilo Raponi, Hannover Re's Lisa Balboa and Brian Walsh, CEO of insurance data specialists Reitigh Software. Promises to be a fascinating discussion on risks and opportunity.
