Children’s Mental Health Week (Feb 3rd-9th) is a reminder to check in on older siblings when caring for a premature or sick baby. The NICU journey can be confusing for them, but small steps can help. 💬 Talk openly and explain what’s happening in simple terms 📚 Create special moments of 1:1 time when possible, such as reading, drawing or getting outside together 💕 Reassure them that they are loved and included 👨👩👧👦 Involve them in simple ways, like making a card for their sibling Bliss is here with resources to support the whole family. We are reviewing our information on the impact of neonatal care on parents’ mental health. We are looking for 3 parents to help us with this review. You need to have had a neonatal experience within the last 3 years and be able to attend an online 1-hour session on the 18th of February at 1-2pm. We will need you to review a Word document (approx. 25 pages) in advance and feed back to us your thoughts with other parents during the session.
