This week, I worked with our healthcare tutors to take part in the BETA test of Bodyswaps AI simulators for Healthcare Active Listening. These cutting-edge tools offer an innovative way to practice essential communication skills, and our tutors explored three dynamic scenarios: 1️⃣ Supporting a Patient with Chronic Health Concerns – Building trust and empathy with a patient managing diabetes and work-related stress. 2️⃣ Mental Health Conversations – Providing reassurance and support to a patient struggling with anxiety and low motivation. 3️⃣ Navigating Menopause Discussions – Addressing sensitive symptoms and guiding patients through personalised care options. The feedback from our tutors has been phenomenal! They were impressed by the level of detail in the feedback provided by the simulator, as well as how seamlessly it could align with our current healthcare modules. They loved the idea of using different patient care scenarios in our hospital ward teaching space, enabling learners to think on their feet and engage in real-time conversation flows—so much more dynamic than traditional pre-scripted roleplay activities!
