Now fast approaching April, we are delighted to have achieved Practical Completion for a number of refurbishment projects within the #privateeducation, #highereducation, #community, #primaryeducation and #Bluelight sectors. Located in and around the home counties and London, with values ranging from £400k to £1.7 million, these projects included the; - Refurbishment of existing changing and shower facilities over two floors to form new changing facilities, toilets, showers and gymnasium - Alterations and refurbishment to an office building to create chemical enhancement laboratory - Internal refurbishment works to create a new youth space - Listed roofing refurbishment works - The refurbishment and repurposing of a spa - Refurbishment to facilitate the relocation of classrooms and a canteen - Roofing, window, external door replacement and car park resurfacing Congratulations to all of our teams, London, General Contracts and Special works, the photographs below highlighting just some of the completed works and laying testament to the team’s and our supply chain’s hard work and dedication… #maincontractor #loveconstruction #refurbishment #construction #projectcompletion

Working closely with Luton Borough Council we are delighted to have completed works at Tokko Ltd., Luton. Tokko Youth Hub is a dedicated charity located in the heart of Luton, committed to supporting young people aged yrs-19 yrs (up to 24 yrs with SEND or a young parent) to aspire, be happy, and lead healthy lives. Having been awarded a Youth Investment Fund grant, enabling the centre to cater for a further 100 young people every week, we were tasked with undertaking essential renovations to five floors, transforming this vital community facility, increasing space, making their building more sustainable and accessible and adding a new ‘green space’ to enable young people to safely connect with the outdoors. Works included; Enhanced safety and security: The re-designed centre will be safe and secure, with the ground floor reception area having a fully functional security and entry system, ensuring the safety and welcome of young people and staff. Digital Hub: Young people will benefit from access to digital tools, including laptops, big screens, play stations and all other kinds of gaming equipment. New kitchen: A newly designed accessible modern kitchen; an accessible, all iclusive learning space for young people to hone their culinary skills. Gym: The development of an existing space to form a gym facility to support young people’s physical health and wellbeing. The gym will also be an attractive space that other local schools, youth projects and partners can use. Roof top green space: Owing to a lack of green spaces in the town, Tokko’s roof terrace has become a dynamic green space with an inspiring view right across the city. It is a place for quiet contemplation, art, and a space for creating greater awareness of the environment. Welcoming New Talent to Borras Construction. Encouraging new talent into our industry is essential - not only for students but also for us as employers, as it gives us early insight into the next generation of skilled professionals. With this in mind, we are delighted to welcome Alfie to Borras for his 45-day T Level industry placement. Currently studying at Harlow College, Alfie will gain valuable experience both in the office and on-site, applying his newly acquired skills in a real-world setting. T Levels focus on vocational skills, with students spending 80% of their time in the classroom and 20% in industry placements, ensuring they develop the practical knowledge required by employers. Upon completion, T Levels provide a pathway to skilled employment, higher education, or apprenticeships.
