International creative writing competition on a mission to find new writers and unheard voices. Alumni include Kit de Waal, who is also our honorary patron. We believe there is no such thing as an aspiring writer – if you write, you ARE a writer. Our poetry, short story, flash fiction and novel prizes are open for submissions until 31 May 2025. Memoir will re-open June 2025. Check our website for all competition details. We can't wait to read your words. The Bridport Prize raises funds for, and is administered by, Bridport Arts Centre. The views of contributors do not reflect the views of The Bridport Prize.
