The food we eat is crucial in tackling climate change, with reducing meat and dairy consumption a key way to lower our carbon footprint — as highlighted by the Climate Change Committee this week. But what do the British public think about low-carbon diets? And what are the key public engagement challenges and opportunities in 2025? On 20th March Climate Barometer and The Centre for Climate Change and Social Transformations (CAST) are hosting a webinar that will explore the latest public opinion insights on diets and the factors shaping peoples sustainable food choices with speakers from Climate Change Committee, Eating Better and Hubbub. This event will mark the launch of a new diet/food related topic thread — an evolving resource that brings together the latest public opinion data on sustainable diets.
