Landmark success of Paddy Power Kabaddi World Cup celebrated on World Kabaddi Day World Kabaddi celebrates World Kabaddi Day annually, marking the anniversary of its founding date in 2018. Since then, the organisation has grown to include five continental governing bodies and more than 55 National Federations, a number which continues to rise as the sport’s global popularity skyrockets. This year’s celebrations off the back of an outstanding Paddy Power Kabaddi World Cup provide an important opportunity to reflect on Kabaddi’s growth. The seven-day tournament was held across the West Midlands region of England, serving as a significant milestone in World Kabaddi’s ambitions for greater recognition among the international sports community and to feature at multi-sport events including the Commonwealth Games and the Olympic Games! First to arrive. Last to leave. That’s been the drill for our amazing behind-the-scenes tech crew at the Paddy Power Kabaddi World Cup 2025 as we toured sports arenas across the West Midlands. So here’s a huge thank you to you all for choreographing brilliantly every second of the championships, creating the spectacular atmosphere in venue and zooming that into home across the world, so that millions could enjoy the sporting celebration that has been this historic world cup. Primary school children from across the city took part in a kabaddi tournament earlier today at Coventry Building Society Arena to celebrate the arrival of the Kabaddi World Cup which comes to Coventry City Council today! The kids have been learning how to play the sport thanks to Sky Blues in the Community delivering a kabaddi programme to schools over recent months in partnership with the Council and United By 2022 Charity. The day was also supported by Sporting Equals and Coventry Building Society. What an amazing spectacle of community Kabaddi!! We love to see it!
