We're kicking off the week with another supply chain engagement meeting as our Business Adviser, Karim Massaad recently visited British Offsite Limited in Braintree, Essex. He was welcomed by Business Development Manager, Richard Bacon, who gave him a tour of their headquarters and an insight into their capabilities.
A subsidiary of The Weston Group, British Offsite Limited is a leading manufacturing and construction company specialising in offsite solutions. They design and produce advanced light-gauge steel frame systems and modular components, integrating offsite methods with traditional construction for faster, more efficient builds. Their state-of-the-art facilities address industry challenges, including skills shortages, regulatory demands, and sustainability goals.
Their first facility, the 75,000 sq. ft Skyline factory, opened in 2017, initially producing 1,400 homes before shifting to BOS Fitout modules—kitchens, bathrooms, and wardrobes. Their latest, the 180,000 sq. ft Horizon factory, can produce 6,000 homes annually. In partnership with Randek AB, British Offsite Limited operates one of Europe’s most automated light-gauge steel panel assembly lines and the UK's largest single production line.
Serving residential and defence sectors, they prioritise sustainability by reducing energy use, minimising waste, and using recycled materials. Their initiatives include responsibly sourcing steel, 100% recyclable packaging, and energy-efficient production, supporting their carbon net zero ambitions.
Committed to industry standards, British Offsite Limited holds a plethora of accreditations, including FORS, Constructionline, and the Light Steel Frame Association. With their expertise, innovation, and sustainability focus, they are well-positioned to contribute to the Sizewell C project.
