🌟 As part of #NuclearWeek in Parliament, our Sizewell C apprentices showcased the opportunities created by the project at the Skills & Apprenticeship Fair, hosted by Liz Saville Roberts MP. Sizewell C is already making a difference - 60 apprentices have joined us this year alone, and we’re set to train over 1,500 apprentices during construction. With at least 540 from Suffolk, where the project is based. By investing in skills, we’re not only powering the UK’s energy future but also strengthening the local economy and supply chain. 🌱⚡ One of our incredible apprentices, Tabi, recently spoke with Niall, Managing Director of Blackwell Earthmoving Limited, an Essex-based company delivering essential earthworks at Sizewell C. Their conversation explored how the project is supporting local businesses, creating jobs, and leaving a lasting legacy. 🎥  Stay up to date with the latest project developments and what’s ahead in 2025 by watching Tabi’s site tour on YouTube 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eVbsrhGd Together, we’re not just building a power station - we’re investing in careers, communities, and the future of Britain’s nuclear industry. #SizewellC #Apprenticeships #Nuclear #NetZeroNeedsNuclear #EnergySecurity #Suffolk #EastAnglia #NuclearWeekInParliament #NuclearEnergyAPPG #NIA #Nuclear

🏗️ Yesterday, we had a fantastic visit with members of the Energy Security and Net Zero Committee, who joined us at Sizewell C for a site tour. We were joined by Bill Esterson, Chair of the Committee, alongside committee members Claire Young, Luke Murphy and Wera Hobhouse MP. The Committee got their first chance to see the huge progress we are making at our construction site. They also learned about the great jobs and business opportunities we are already creating in East Suffolk and beyond. Today the project is working with around 300 UK suppliers and has signed contracts worth approximately £2.5bn. This is just the start! 70% of the construction value will be spent in the UK. Ultimately, we will support 70,000 jobs and work with well over 3,000 companies across Britain.  Thank you to the Committee for taking the time to visit us on-site and for your interest in how Sizewell C is helping to build a secure, zero-carbon, and sustainable energy future for Britain! 🌍⚡  #EnergySecurity #NetZero #SizewellC #SustainableEnergy

  • ☕️ Meet Nigel, the founder of Combat2Coffee, introducing Danny - a key member of the Combat2Coffee community. Nigel met Danny four years ago in a prison setting, where Danny was serving time for an offence committed at a young age. Today, thanks to a second chance, Danny’s journey of transformation continues to inspire many others. One of the most powerful moments in Danny’s story? His strong support network, which includes a former police officer also working at Combat2Coffee - and they've now become good friends! At Sizewell C, we are proud to support initiatives like the launch of Employment Councils, a new Ministry of Justice UK initiative bringing together probation services, prisons, and businesses to create meaningful opportunities for ex-offenders. We recognise the immense value of thoughtfully integrating ex-offenders back into the workforce and helping them rebuild their lives while addressing the UK's labour and skills shortages. ☕️ Last year, Sizewell C provided Combat2Coffee with its first permanent coffee shop here on our site in Leiston, helping to advance their mission and contribute to the local community. 👉 Watch the full video on our YouTube channel to learn more about our journey with Combat2Coffee 🔗 https://lnkd.in/etKTZWVp #Combat2Coffee #CareerOpportunities #Inspiration #WorkforceInclusion #SizewellC #SocialGood #CommunityImpact
