Yesterday we volunteered our time to support St Andrew's Hospice Grimsby to lend a green-fingered hand to help revitalise the hospice’s grounds and GREENFINGERS CHARITY pirate-themed garden ☀️ Our team weeded, pruned, chopped and tidied to help to maintain the magical garden that offers a safe & therapeutic escape for children with life-limiting illnesses and their families. Massive thank you to British Garden Centres for getting their hands dirty in our gardens today! The team joined forces with our incredible volunteers to tackle the weeds and rose bushes. Eve Kerrigan, Content Creator for British Garden Centres, said: "We are a platinum partner with Green Fingers charity and we're really passionate about the work they do with building gardens for childrens' hospices. We really wanted to get our hands dirty this time and get out to one of their gardens to help the volunteers to create a lovely space for the people who stay here." Jayne Hickling, BBC Radio gardening expert and British Garden Centres Ambassador, who also helped out, told us: "The idea of gardening for wellbeing and mental health is really important to me and enabling people who are going through difficult times to actually have access to green spaces is so important as a way for escape and getting in touch with nature. Last Friday we were delighted to welcome the YPHA Launch Success teams to Studley Garden Centre for a set of workshops with our Content Creator Eve Kerrigan & Jennie Kwan Head of Creative at Hyve 🤩 The ten candidates had the chance to turn their ideas into a formalised design brief with Jennies help and sample and plan a social media content strategy with Eve.
