Our Chief Executive, Robin Tuddenham spoke at a West Yorkshire Combined Authority Fair Work Charter event this morning, all about how we foster a fair, ethical, and supportive work environment for Calderdale Council employees, through paying Living Wage, promoting better work-life balance and sharing opportunities for development - and how this leads to increased productivity and better health.   It’s fantastic that 26 Calderdale businesses have signed up to the West Yorkshire Fair Work Charter. Applications for the NFM Grant Scheme are still open. 📅 Closing date for applications is Monday, 24th March 2025. Farmers and landowners can apply for funding to implement Natural Flood Management (NFM) measures such as leaky dams and tree planting on their land. The scheme, managed by Calderdale Council and funded by the Environment Agency, is unique to Calderdale and was created with local partners to strengthen the area’s flood resilience. Seven Council employees are celebrating 40+ years service at Calderdale Council this evening. To say thank you for their dedication to public services, a special long service ceremony was held at Halifax Town Hall where we heard about their career history and highlights.
