Another amazing day spent at AstraZeneca, and it was a delight to welcome Cambridge United players Gary Gardner and Dan Barton. Continually grateful for this partnership we are fortunate to have!
When the world of science meets football! A great feature from last nights ITV News on the long standing partnership between Cambridge United Foundation and AstraZeneca. Another great example of how football can be used as a vehicle to inspire people and how local organisations irrespective of their global size, can support their local club and community. #UnitedInEndeavour

🧡 Tackling Loneliness, One Cup of Tea at a Time ☕ Did you know that nearly half of the over 65s in the UK rely on the TV or their pets as their main source of company? The issue of social isolation is real, and here in Cambridgeshire, it affects 24,500 older adults who live alone. At Cambridge United Foundation, we’re committed to changing that. 💪 Every month, we host a special Afternoon Tea at the iconic Caldara Abbey Stadium, where we bring people together to enjoy tea, cake, and most importantly—conversation. 🫖🍰 Lately, we’ve even had the pleasure of partnering with the wonderful Novotel Hotels Cambridge North, adding a touch of elegance to our monthly meet-ups. ✨ These events are more than just tea and treats. They’re about building connections, sharing stories, and combating loneliness one chat at a time. 🗣️💬 👉 If you or someone you know would love to join our next Afternoon Tea, please reach out at foundation@cambridgeunited.com. Let’s spread the word, bring people together, and make a difference in our community! 💛 #CommunitySupport #EndIsolation #LonelinessAwareness #AfternoonTea #CambridgeUnitedFoundation #SupportOlderAdults #MakeADifference #ConnectingCommunities #SocialImpact #TacklingLoneliness #CambridgeUK
