1 in 5 young people in Camden face mental health challenges, 33% higher than the national average. 📊 With funding from our #FutureForwardFund, Fitzrovia Youth in Action is expanding its Camden Social Prescribing Programme. The programme will prioritise young people on waiting lists for mental health support, those disengaged from school, or struggling with emotional resilience. The funding will go towards hiring more mentors, providing transportation, and offering tailored support. Through 1-to-1 sessions, 45 young people will access art workshops, sports, and wellbeing support, building confidence and reducing isolation. This programme is giving young people the tools they need to improve their wellbeing and stay connected. 💚

Don't you want to donate to youth services that young people believe in? With our Future Forward Fund, Camden’s youth are leading the way, deciding which projects will have the most impact. Khadys Dream's Before You Commit programme was chosen for its relatable, hands-on workshops led by people with lived experience. 🙌 By listening to Camden’s young people, we’re addressing the issues that matter most.

Before You Commit from Khadys Dream is helping young people in Camden avoid crime and exploitation. 🙌 The programme offers mentorship and workshops led by people who’ve lived through the challenges of crime, gangs, and exploitation. This real-life experience makes their support relatable and powerful, helping young people make informed decisions and stay on a positive path. With funding from our Future Forward Fund, they’re providing hands-on guidance that resonates with youth, offering a non-judgmental approach that empowers them to navigate life’s challenges and avoid being drawn into harmful cycles. #FutureForwardFund #YouthSupport #CamdenCommunity #PreventingCrime

Yesterday, we introduced Coram's Fields Youth Outreach Programme. Today we’re giving you a glimpse into how funding decisions are made. A panel of Camden residents aged 16 to 25 decided to fund this project through our Future Forward Fund. They recognised the programme’s impact in supporting young people facing gang violence, offering aftercare, and making help more accessible. This is how we work. Camden residents, closest to the issues, deciding where funding goes. #FutureForwardFund #YouthEmpowerment #CamdenYouth #CommunityLed

What does it take to truly make a difference for young people in Camden? Coram's Fields is doing just that with their Youth Outreach Programme, supported by our Future Forward Fund. They’re offering at-risk youth a safe space, mentorship, and access to mental health support, helping them navigate trauma and avoid gang culture. This funding will expand their outreach, provide employability coaching, and create paid Young Leader roles, giving young people the tools they need for a brighter future. This is the power of community investment. And with your support, we can do even more. 🙌 #FutureForwardFund #YouthEmpowerment #CamdenYouth

We’re proud to support Coram's Fields through our #FutureForwardFund. Basil’s work with young people, particularly those affected by knife crime, is helping build stronger, safer communities. With youth safety being a growing concern in Camden, this kind of work has never been more needed. The funding for this project was decided by our young panel, showing how local voices are shaping the changes they want to see. If you believe in the power of community-led change, join us in supporting more initiatives like this.
We are so grateful to Camden Giving and the young people’s panel for awarding us a grant towards our outreach work and, our incredible Lead Outreach Worker, Basil! Basil’s work in the community is truly life-changing. He provides vital support, guidance, and a sense of belonging to young people outside of Coram's Fields, connecting them with our youth centre. From bringing together those affected by knife crime to offering mentorship for young people at-risk, his impact is immeasurable. One of our programme participants shared: "Basil is so, so needed in the community, especially for younger boys who just need an older role model—someone to be that support and glue in the community." Another expressed: "I can’t overstate the effect Basil has had on my family. He has brought us together and given the community a way to heal." With this funding, we can continue this crucial work—ensuring that young people have the support they deserve, a safe place to turn to, and someone who truly cares. Thank you, Camden Giving and young people, for believing in this work and helping us change lives. And thank you to Google for providing the funding! #CommunityMatters #YouthSupport #ThankYou #FutureForwardFund2025
