As with American Express presents British Summer Time Hyde Park earlier this summer, AEG has made great strides in measuring and reducing its emissions, both onsite and through its suppliers. Alongside these vital emission reductions, CCS has committed to removing All Points East 2024 and 2025 scope 1 & 2 emissions using removals from Standard Gas Technologies Ltd first SG100 plant. We have also made a several hundred tonnes of free removals available for AEG event attendees through our mobile app Sylva, as we try to tackle scope 3 emissions in collaboration with attendees. #netzero #CDR #climateaction

We were delighted to be AEG’s Carbon Removal Partner for the American Express presents BST Hyde Park music event this month. AEG has made great strides in measuring and reducing its emissions, through efforts such as using biofuels on site and facilitating attendee journey planning using public transport. CCS has committed to removing AEG’s 2024 and 2025 scope 1 & 2 emissions using removals from Standard Gas Technologies Ltd first SG100 plant, which is currently in commissioning phase.    We have also made a several hundred tonnes of free removals available for AEG event attendees through our mobile app Sylva. Now, we’re looking forward to working with AEG on its East London festival Uber One presents All Points East in August. #netzero #CDR #climateaction

Our Carbon Removal App: SYLVA - is coming soon! 🚀 We are excited to announce that our updated carbon removal app Sylva will launch at the end of June! What is Sylva? Sylva is a user-friendly carbon removal platform developed by Carbon Char Store, where you can use ‘Sylva’ tokens to support climate technologies. What can I do with Sylva? You can address your environmental impact and support the growth of negative emission technologies by ordering carbon dioxide removals. To begin with we are exclusively offering carbon removals from Standard Gas, with other projects coming in the future. How does it work? When your order is confirmed, you receive a commitment from Standard Gas to remove carbon on your behalf. Standard Gas’ SG100 plant removes carbon, and locks it away for hundreds of years. When the carbon has been removed, reported and verified you will receive your own certification!   So far, we have completed the design phase and next, we will focus on conducting initial feature testing to provide users with affordable, friendly and transparent carbon removal services.

𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘀𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘀𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲? The 𝗘𝗨 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (EU FPR) is like a growing organism, evolving alongside technical and scientific progress. The regulation holds the 𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿, yet further efforts and deliberations are needed 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 of biochar benefits for agriculture. The 𝗡𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘂𝘁 (𝗡𝗠𝗜) 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆 into the future expansion of the FPR, where 𝘀𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘀𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 as a possible new feedstock for biochar (CMC14). In context to this study, the 𝗘𝗕𝗜 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗣𝘆𝗿𝗼𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀 just released the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 titled 𝗦𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝘆𝗿𝗼𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 (𝗖𝗠𝗖𝟭𝟰). We need your help! 💥 📣 As you might have followed, the Carbon Removal Certification Framework (#CRCF) - potentially the most important piece of #CDR legislation in the world right now - has entered its final negotiation stage, the #Trilogues. 🛠️ There are still several aspects of the current positions which would prevent a portfolio approach and #techneutrality, de facto excluding a large amount of CDR technologies and reducing the EU´s chances to reach net-zero. 🔊 For this reason, we need to put our argument in front of policy makers now - louder than ever. 💪 160 companies - including ours - have already signed a public letter calling for tech-openness in the CRCF. Our goal is to get 200 companies to sign on before the end of the week to put it on CRCF negotiators´ desks on Monday. 🌎 Any organisation or company working in or on CDR can sign the letter. You don´t have to be European either. This is a global call to action to ensure a cornerstone legislation remains tech-neutral. 🤝 Action now can have an outsized impact.
