About us

Working across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough with mainstream SEND and secondary schools, we support students' career pathways through the Compass framework and Gatsby benchmarks, and work with the funded skills brokerage service delivered by Growth Works. We support employer engagement with both schools and businesses to build an early years pipeline by brokering business volunteers into our schools.

  • 🎉 #YouthFusion! Our team were delighted to attend East Cambridgeshire District Council's "Youth Fusion" activity days in Burwell on 8th August and in Haddenham on Wednesday. Young children, parents and grandparents all came along to join in the fun of the day, whilst also learning about some of the organisations who are operational in the area. We were happy to talk with many about career pathways, apprenticeships and next steps.   We were very pleased to speak with Liam and Catherine of Fitness Rush Ltd. Catherine has just completed an internship and was able to share her success story with us. Lis Every, our Enterprise Advisor for Highfield Ely Academy & Highfield Littleport was also here representing ‘Volunteering in East Cambs' and agencies beyond.   In attendance were the Fire Rescue Service, Police, East Cambs Community Bus, Crimestoppers, Fitness Rush, Healthy You, Volunteering Together East Cambs and Form the Future CIC.   Alvina Morey Lisa Gledson Helen Scully Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority Growth Works with Skills

Can I complete the Good Youth Employment Benchmark, as well as The Careers & Enterprise Company's Employer Standards tool? Today we're answering one of our most frequently asked questions about our Good Youth Employment Benchmark. At Youth Employment UK, we’re dedicated to empowering young people on their journey into the workforce. Our Good Youth Employment Benchmark is a tool that helps employers assess and improve how they attract, engage, and support young people in their employment practices. We have worked closely with The Careers and Enterprise Company (CEC) to align our question sets, ensuring that the insights gained from both tools complement each other. The CEC has created the Employer Standards tool with the Gatsby Benchmarks, guiding schools, colleges and employers in providing top-tier careers education. But what happens after young people leave the classroom? That’s where our Benchmark comes into play. It takes it a step further by evaluating how employers are meeting the needs of young people as they transition into the workplace. Together, we’re making sure that young people are not just prepared for the world of work but are welcomed into it by employers who are ready to support their growth and development. If you're an employer committed to improving your youth employment practices, become a Member today and gain exclusive access to the Benchmark Become a Member before the end of August and you can benefit from a 1-2-1 call with one of our experts to aid your application, as well as early access to our 2024 Youth Voice Census Report. ➡️ Click the link to Join our Membership https://lnkd.in/eNKn83s6 #YouthEmployment
