We recently helped transform the play area of Chestnuts Primary School Tottenham in partnership with our client Hill Group UK . This works was carried out as part of giving back to the communities we work in. As we continue to progress on our works at the St Ann’s Hospital for Hill Group UK it’s always nice to stop and give back to the community. Our works consisted of a general tidy up of the school playground, removal of old outdoor benches in the play area, levelling of the old grass area and resurfacing it with 250m2 of Astro Turf allowing for an all weather playing surface for the kids. ✨Did someone say Charity Abseil?✨ Over 35 people from Hill Group UK, L&Q and Maggie's Centres are braving a 17-storey abseil on Friday 14th February from Skylark House, the first building to complete at our Kew Bridge Rise development in Brentford. This is all in support of Maggie’s, a charity providing vital care for individuals and families affected by cancer. This meaningful event coincides with International Childhood Cancer Day (ICCD) on Saturday 15th February, reinforcing our commitment to this cause. This first phase of the Northwick Park regeneration project is already transforming the former hospital site into a vibrant community. Key highlights of this phase include: - 654 new homes, with 50% affordable housing and the remainder for private sale or rent. - Additional features like student facilities, commercial spaces, and a replacement nursery, spread across 19 modern buildings. This video highlights the dedication, innovation, and teamwork driving the transformation of the former Northwick Park hospital site into a thriving community. We at Carey London are incredibly proud to support impactful community projects in Newham! Recently, we contributed £1,500 and provided a nurse to assist the London Borough of Newham’s Ageing Well Festival, which was a great success and a meaningful event for so many. We’re also thrilled to collaborate with Hill Group UK and Newham's Adult Health team to enhance the Chargeable Lane Community Centre. Our volunteers have already begun renovations to improve the space for the ‘Men in Sheds’ program, which offers a welcoming and supportive environment for local men to connect and thrive. Our commitment to #socialvalue drives us to make a positive difference, and we look forward to seeing these projects benefit the community in lasting ways.

The St Ann’s project for our client Hill Group UK is progressing very well, with plans to deliver up to 995 new homes. Notably, 60% of these will be affordable, with dedicated options for older women and members of the LGBTQ+ community. All the stair cores on the blocks were constructed in jump form with the stairs brought ahead of the floors providing a safe access to the workface utilising the permanent stairs. Balconies are a fair faced so were pre-cast constructed on site and lifted into place to help with maintaining floor turnarounds and providing consistency in the finish of the concrete balconies. Concrete works on Blocks C1, C2 & C3 are now complete and we push on looking to complete concrete on D1, D2 & D3 before the Christmas Holidays. We remain committed to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety on-site, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all workers.
