Discover how innovative engineering solutions, like the installation of a block stone wall and advanced sheet piling, were employed to enhance structural integrity and combat erosion alongside a vital railway track. This project not only fortified infrastructure but also preserved cultural heritage by reincorporating original artwork into the new bridge design. Our Director, David Daniel and Social Value Manager, Angharad Rosser had the incredible opportunity to speak on Radio Cardiff this morning, sharing the journey of Centregreat and our dedication to creating positive social impact in Cardiff. As one of the main sponsors of the Cardiff Volunteer Awards, we have been privileged to play a role in recognizing the city’s selfless volunteers. It’s been a truly heartwarming experience to be part of the judging panel for the Best Volunteer Group category, where we’ve seen firsthand the remarkable contributions of individuals who tirelessly dedicate their time to support those in need. Their stories are both inspiring and humbling, reminding us of the power of community. We’re eagerly counting down to the awards event on the 11th of November, where we’ll get to celebrate with all the outstanding nominees and announce the well-deserved winners. Here’s to the volunteers who make Cardiff a brighter place for all! 🏆✨ #Centregreat #CardiffVolunteerAwards #CommunityImpact #SocialValue #MakingADifference

Hi all,   As a lot of you have noticed and commented lately, I’ve gone on a bit of a health kick and it’s going quite well so I’m starting to look a bit different if you’ve not seen me in a while but still a long way to go. But I’ve decided to challenge myself further for 2025 and have decided to sign up to a few different 5k/10k/Tough Mudder events. But the main event I would love your help with is the Cardiff Half Marathon, as I’ve signed up for the 2025 edition in October. Most people won’t be aware but my nan was recently diagnosed with cancer so I have taken up one of the charity spots and will be running for Cancer Research Wales. All this running is relatively new for me apart from team sports but it’s a challenge I’m committed to complete, and I’ve already started training.   I was hoping that some of you would be willing to sponsor me and help a good cause close to home for myself and probably a lot of you reading this.   My fundraising page is below, and I appreciate and thank you in advance for anything you can spare towards my total. Feel free to share this post to your network and reach as many as possible. https://lnkd.in/em--9__f

Exciting Milestone Alert at Abergavenny Station! We at Centregreat Rail are delighted to announce a significant update on the Abergavenny Access for All Scheme for Network Rail. This initiative is a key part of our commitment to enhancing accessibility across the Wales and Borders route. This past weekend, we achieved a major milestone alongside Network Rail with the commencement of the glass installation on the new accessible footbridge at Abergavenny station. The main span, stairs, and lift shafts are now prominently in place, testament to the hard work and dedication of our teams and the unwavering support from the local community. This crucial phase was carried out over the last three weekends during which the Marches Line was closed to ensure the safety and efficiency of the operation. Looking ahead, our teams are set to focus on completing the cladding on the lift shafts and the necessary mechanical and electrical installations. We are on schedule to complete this transformative project by spring 2025, which will provide step-free access between platforms 1 and 2 for the first time. We extend our deepest gratitude to all passengers and residents of Abergavenny for their patience and understanding as we carry out these essential works. These improvements are just a part of the broader Access for All programme funded by the Department for Transport (DfT), United Kingdom, which aims to enhance accessibility at several other stations, including Cwmbran, Newtown, Flint, Llanelli, and Ludlow. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to make travel easier and more accessible for everyone! #CentregreatRail #NetworkRail #Accessibility #AbergavennyStation #RailwayEngineering #Infrastructure #AccessForAll

Exciting Collaboration Update: Centregreat, Redwood Environmental Services & Bulldogs BCA, Baglan Two years ago, at the Neath Port Talbot Mayor Awards, we had the pleasure of being introduced to Bulldogs BCA, an inspiring organization that clinched the Health and Well-being Award. Since that memorable evening, our relationship with Bulldogs has only grown stronger and more fruitful. Earlier this year, as part of our Baglan Bridge scheme delivered for Asiant Cefnffyrdd De Cymru | South Wales Trunk Road Agent in a fantastic collaboration with AtkinsRéalis, we had the opportunity to engage with the vibrant community at Bulldogs. Together, we delivered an enriching educational activity for the enthusiastic young participants of their holiday club, an initiative that underscored our commitment to nurturing young minds and supporting local communities. Building on our promise to offer tangible support, we recently coordinated with our esteemed subcontractor, Redwood Environmental Services. They expertly addressed an urgent need at Bulldogs by clearing a silt-clogged drainage system that had caused flooding in the car park. This intervention not only solved a critical issue but also reinforced the strength of community and corporate collaboration. We are proud to stand with Bulldogs BCA and contribute to their incredible work. This partnership is a testament to what we can achieve together – enhancing community facilities and making a positive impact. Here’s to continuing this wonderful journey with Bulldogs BCA and making a difference, one project at a time! #CommunityEngagement #Partnership #Centregreat #BulldogsAFC #CorporateResponsibility
