This week, AmcoGiffen is supporting Get up to Speed with STEM 2025 at Magna Science Adventure Centre. The two-day event is a live, annual careers showcase aiming to inspire students, parents and teachers and sees around 7,000 visitors. We're currently working on the new Magna Tram Train station project on behalf of South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority. We've used the opportunity to open a section of the site compound for event visitors including Hilary Chapman to see key elements of the the project and meet the site team. We’re also providing: · Sessions on the design of the new station · VR headsets · Welfare vans and PPE · STEM challenge and colouring centre · Women at AmcoGiffen representatives · How to get into construction talks · Plant and equipment displays from our supply partners Ainscough Crane Hire and Flannery Plant Hire Day one was all about secondary and college-age students and we set a challenge to build the tallest tower using spaghetti and marshmallows. We were hugely impressed with the winner who made the tallest and the widest tower. Congratulations to Ruby who impressed us by taking the time to think of a plan, executing it brilliantly with excellent design detail. #StepUpToSTEM #FindYourFuture
