About us
Inspired by his travels and love of cooking, Charlie set up shop back in 1996 with the sole aim of creating really delicious dishes for foodies – putting in all the care and attention that you would if you were to cook them yourself. Using top quality ingredients, his goal was to help people steal back some quality time by doing all the dinner prep for them. Today, we make over 45 delicious dishes at our kitchens in London and Somerset and we are proud to grace the shelves of Waitrose, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Ocado, Booths and Budgens. Not only do we make food under the Charlie Bigham’s name, but we also prepare delicious recipes for a small number of discerning retailers and restaurant chains. Although it might sound like a bit of a cliché, we really mean it when we say that our people are by far our biggest asset. We rely on our amazing team of chefs and foodies to help make the most delicious food available. In preparation for Wells Eco Week: 11th-20th October, we were delighted to welcome Denise Denis and Madeleine Milnes from the Wells Eco Network to our Quarry Kitchen, Wells, Somerset. Together, we discussed our sustainability initiatives and the steps we’ve taken to reduce the environmental impact of our operations. It was fantastic to receive positive recognition from Denise and Madeleine for our efforts and we’re excited to contribute towards the Wells Eco Campaign whilst continuing to make progress toward a more sustainable future.
