Our president Alison Watson MBE visited the Royal School of Military Engineering on Thu 31 Oct to meet soldiers completing their (CICES accredited) Military Engineering (Surveyor Engineering) 2-1 Course. 👨🎓 She had the privilege of addressing the newly qualified professionals, handing out certificates + presenting the highest marked student, Sapper Sulav Rana, with a prize of £250. 🥇 The soldiers were also addressed + congratulated by their regiment CO, Lieutenant Colonel JP Newton RE (pictured chatting with Alison). ☕ Thanks to our guides on the day, Steve Coates (head of engineering surveying) + Sarah Cummings (survey instructor), for introducing CICES to so many inspirational individuals, guiding us around the facility + maintaining the proud tradition of association between the #surveying profession + the military. 🤝 #surveying #RoyalEngineers #LestWeForget #MakeSpaceForEducation #CivilEngineering
