CDI-Marine 2024 Inspector Accreditation Training Course: Closing date for applicants is now close of Business UK Time on the 1st March 2024 As advised, CDI Marine has expanded its vessel type inspection scope to also include LNG, Product and Dry Bulk, in addition to the current Chemical and LPG inspections. This is to ensure that CDI marine vessel type inspection scope covers the entire chemical global supply chain. As part of this strategic plan, CDI is expanding the global number of CDI-Marine inspectors and will hold a CDI-Marine Inspector Accreditation Training Course in Houston Texas USA from 13 to 17 May 2024. The course is based on the CDI Marine 10th Edition Ship Inspection Report. Aimed at Ship Operators, chemical company logistics managers and independent inspector candidates, the course provides a unique training opportunity in industry best operating practice. This 5 day intensive course is devised to satisfy the training requirements for CDI Marine Inspector Accreditation. There are limited spaces available. It should be noted that delegates seeking Accreditation as CDI-Marine Inspectors must meet CDI prerequisite requirements and be a qualified and experienced in ISO Quality Auditing, or an equivalent standard, and should have knowledge and experience of the chemical supply and marine transport industry sector which they will ultimately audit. The CDI-Marine Inspector Accreditation Training pack, full details, costs and application form is available to download from the CDI Marine download page or from this announcement

10th Edition Ship Inspection Report: Voluntary Remote Viewing Mapping Document. For the attention of all CDI registered Ship Operators. CDI has issued an updated CDI Voluntary Remote Viewing Mapping Document (dated 31st January 2024). This is for ship operators who wish to continue to undertake the voluntary “remote viewing” of a vessels certificate as part of a new CDI 10th edition Ship Inspection Report (SIR). This updated CDI mapping document lists each of the documents/certificates, with a numeric reference against the new 10th edition Ship Inspection Report question number(s), in addition to indicating the previous 9th edition SIR numeric reference for guidance. As will be seen there are minimal changes to the previous version of this document. However, if choosing to transmit certificates/documents to the CDI inspector under a 10th Edition SIR. the Operator should number (reference) each document as indicated in the “10th Edition CDI remote review mapping document” as set out and explained in the attached. Please Note: • 1. The “Cargo related section” is no longer part of the remote document review process. • 2. If for any reason the Operator is unable to transmit the documentation to the CDI inspector, the inspector will review all documentation when onboard the vessel. • 3. Findings discovered by the CDI Inspector during the remote review of documentation should continue to be only be discussed during the physical Inspection on board the Vessel. Full details and the Remote Viewing Mapping Document can be accessed in this document General Manager CDI
