#Build2Perform Session Spotlight: Equity, Diveristy & Inclusivity (EDI) in the Building Services Industry 🔦 📆 14 November 2024, 15:15 - 16:15 📍 Influence Theatre During this session we will be defining EDI, giving examples which are specific to the building services industry. The panel will discuss good practice in the sector both in terms of workplaces with building services, but also in terms of the buildings we are designing. Attendees will come away from the talk with action they can implement to improve equity, diversity and inclusion in their own practice. During today's visit to the Rochester Institute of Technology, Dubai (RIT Dubai), CIBSE President Fiona Cousins had the opportunity to address engineering students on the future of the industry and the importance of resilience and sustainability in the built environment. Following her talk, Fiona, along with CIBSE CEO Ruth Carter, toured RIT’s Sustainability and Energy Centre, where they explored the positive zero carbon lab and witnessed a remarkable 3-D printed building that was created in just 12 hours!
