About us
The world will continue flying. Despite calls to reduce the number of flights, orders for new aircraft using the current technology and fuels are increasing. This is why Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is so important and CirculAIRity has the solution to make flying truly net zero. We will manufacture jet fuel without using feedstock that are crops, or using land that would otherwise be used for crops. This fuel is a ‘like for like’ product which does not need any changes to aircraft engines, seals or the distribution and ground infrastructure. Crucially, a fuel that does not harm the natural environment in its production or use. Now we only have 17 years to make this a global reality, for all countries. SAF from CirculAIRity is the quickest and most effective way to achieve this. Scientists are now warning immediate action is needed. The UN now wants countries to bring forward their 2050 ‘net zero’ targets by a decade to 2040 to help avoid the worst impacts of climate change. With our exceptional leadership team, CirculAIRity is positioned as a credible and trusted producer of sustainable aviation fuel, ready to revolutionise the aviation industry's environmental impact. We are looking for partners that embrace our vision of the future. Please email: action@circulairity.co to receive a copy of our SAF Solution Document.

We are delighted to be able to confirm our agreement to work with Rolls-Royce to Dirk Singer at Sustainability In The Air in a recent interview with Alex Chikhani MBA our CEO. In this interview Alex explains why 3rd Generation #SAF is the best solution for both energy transition and security, and not just for the aviation sector but part of a country wide industrial strategy. #AviationIndustry #SustainableAviation #3GenSaf #FutureMobility
The Bristol-based company CirculAIRity has signed a letter of intent with Rolls-Royce to explore using waste heat from Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) to produce hydrogen and SAF – creating a strategic national fuel supply for civil and military aviation. 💚 Why it matters: Instead of relying on global supply chains, CirculAIRity, led by CEO Alex Chikhani MBA, takes an energy-agnostic approach, scaling local SAF production while cutting transport emissions. 💚 What’s next: Their first UK plant is set for 2030, with expansion plans underway. A Christmas Tree story with a difference. The use of trees as wood biomass to produce Sustainable Aviation Fuel is a recent trend. What would the Trafalgar Square Christmas tree mean in #SAF terms. And is this a sustainable and commercially scalable SAF production process? It takes 1 tonne of dry wood biomass to produce 230 litres of SAF - biomass needs drying which also requires energy. Each year Oslo gifts London a Norwegian Spruce Christmas tree which is roughly 20m tall, taking approximately 55-60 years to grow. A 20m tall spruce comprises of 500kg dry wood biomass meaning that a tree of this size can produce just 115 litres of SAF. So what does this mean? The Airbus #A350 consumes about 8522 litres per hour, an 11.5 hour flight covering some 10,000km (the distance from London to Bolivia), the aircraft will consume 98,000 litres of jet fuel. That equates to 9.8 litres per kilometre, or one 20m tall spruce per 11.73km. However, in addition to the energy contained in this SAF, energy is also required for logging, transportation, processing (drying), production (gasification) and logistics. Lets ignore the further energy requirements for now. It would require 853 Trafalgar Square Christmas trees to produce the 98,000 litres of SAF needed for this 10,000km one-way flight. That is 46,915 years of tree growth (assuming each tree takes 'only' 55 years to grow) for an 11.5 hour one way flight. The aircraft cruises at 911.9km/h covers 11.73km in just 29 seconds. That means one tree (taking at best 55 years to grow) if converted to SAF, is consumed every 29 seconds. What do you think? Should trees be used to create SAF? Happy Christmas from all the Team at CirculAIRity, we hope the next year is full of synthetic 3rd Generation SAF developments! #Environment #Sustainability #Airlines #Aviation #AviationIndustry #SustainableAviation #SustainableAviationFuel #EnergyTransition

Alex Chikhani MBA, CEO of CirculAIRity, is leading the way in energy transition for the aviation fuel landscape. With a decade of experience as a fuel subject matter expert in the Royal Air Force (RAF), and a second career in business, Alex brings deep expertise to the team. #CirculAIRity is tackling a critical challenge: the aviation sector will continue to depend on fossil fuels for decades. We address this by integrating already scaled technologies to produce 3rd Generation Synthetic Sustainable Aviation Fuel. That fact is, last year, 90 times more SAF was sold than produced globally. Demand is only expected to rise, as the aviation sector is projected to triple in size over the next 30 years. Our #SAF is a drop-in fuel requiring no changes to the aviation ecosystem, which makes it the practical, long term solution. This approach begins with harnessing green energy sources—nuclear, wind, solar, or tidal—to power a process that captures CO2 and water vapor from the atmosphere, converting them into jet fuel. This circular ecosystem is designed to make sustainable aviation truly viable. CirculAIRity's aim is to prepare the aviation industry for future growth, ensuring it is sustainable and scalable. Find out more about Alex and our approach in the video below. #SustainableAviation #EnergyTransition #Investment #AviationNetZero

CirculAIRity is proud to originate from #Bristol, which has a long heritage in aviation. #Concorde was designed and built here, an aircraft went on to profoundly change aviation globally. Many people doubted that that it would transform commercial passenger aviation. But it did, just as #CirculAIRity plans to make Bristol’s next aviation legacy a sustainable one. The South West, particularly #Bristol, is leading the UK when it comes to sustainability issues, environmental concerns and addressing #ClimateChange. Most of the team live here and there is nowhere like home when it comes to the fair trade, ethical and sustainable ethos of this brilliant city. Bristol aligns perfectly with the pioneering and purpose-driven journey of CirculAIRity and our synthetic scalable sustainable aviation fuel solution. #GreenFinance #SAF #Infrastructure #CapitalInvestment #EnergyTransition #SustainableAviation #eSAF

Jason Sprague is the Chief Commercial Officer at #CirculAIRity and a Co-Founder alongside Alex Chikhani MBA and Dr Michael Parmar. Recognising the necessity of aviation, Jason emphasises the urgent need to make it greener. He believes the world needs third-generation Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to decarbonise aviation, replacing fossil fuels and preserving the benefits of aviation while cutting carbon emissions. By leveraging renewables, a true green supply chain can be established, moving beyond SAF created with biofuels to the next generation of synthetic 'drop in' SAF. It's only by taking this long term approach that aviation can be sustainable for the future. Watch the video to hear Jason explain how CirculAIRity plan to make this a reality. #SustainableAviation #GreenEnergy #Innovation #SAF #RenewableEnergy #Decarbonisation #FutureOfAviation
