In celebration of Earth Day, a day created to raise awareness of worldwide environmental issues, City is thrilled to share one of our ESG initiatives Wendy Golden CMIIA and the wider business has been working on. In 2023, our colleagues were asked, as part of an internal survey, about their views on environmental and social topics within the workplace. From the answers provided, it was very clear that there was a strong desire to reduce the amount of plastic waste used within the business. As a result of the survey, and our colleagues feedback, City have decided to remove single-use plastic water bottles from our canteen and coffee shop! Instead, we have provided additional water dispensing machines throughout our Glasgow Head Office to keep our colleagues hydrated – while being environmentally friendly.
