It was a pleasure to see the developments on Workvivo - by Zoom as part of creating V3.4 of our review report (link in the comments 👇 ). As many of you know, in mid-2024 Workvivo was named as Meta’s preferred migration partner with the closure of Workplace and it’s easy to see why. The Workvivo platform is very well-designed. Its user-friendly interface and sleek home page options make it easy to access and navigate for a wide range of users. The social and community features that are baked into almost every area of the product provides a dynamic, user-driven experience. There is a dominant activity feed that collates the different types of posts added across the platform. When writing there's the option of using an ‘AI Companion’ that will generate content based on natural language prompts plus tone and length choices, which lends itself well to post creation. This must be manually copied and pasted, which could (hopefully!) help people consider and edit the content. People can make use of an ‘Ask a Question’ feature when posting to activity feeds to generate peer discussion and dialogue, including upvoting for both the original question and submitted answers, as well as actions to accept the most accurate answer. ‘Post a Value Update’ posts celebrate company values - we think this is a standout feature, as it offers customers a way to show how company values are lived in the organisation. A custom set of organisational value tags are created that can then be linked to content or used in a post to @mention a colleague embodying a value. ‘Give a Shout-out’ is another type of post that supports employee recognition and allows for @mentioning individuals and teams. Any post can be reacted to, shared, or commented on. In late-2024 Workvivo added emoji reactions, which allows admins to add organisational specific emojis, promote some to be used more frequently, as well as exclude any that are inappropriate. Offering a simplified range out of the box could be helpful, but we think this is a great addition. Overall, Workvivo offers strong social activity, community collaboration, and employee engagement features that rival public-facing social media sites.
