A vision for the future of composites in UK aerospace. ✈️ Today, we’re launching our first Market Spotlight which shows the UK could grow its market share in aerospace composites by more than six times between now and 2050. To do so will require cohesive strategic action at pace to achieve technology readiness and demonstrate capability across rate, quality and cost. Each new generation of aircraft features a rapidly increasing percentage of composite components, which is forecast to more than double the market value from $16bn in 2022 to $34bn by 2032. The strategic approach shared today will drive UK competitiveness on the back of ATI Programme investment to date of £480m in grant funding, totalling £827m with industrial funding.
