This innovative technology enables us to assess hydrogen permeation rates at cryogenic temperatures, playing a vital role in the development of materials for liquid hydrogen storage and transport. 🗨️ The CHyPr offers a broad temperature and pressure range, designed to handle complex composite samples, and its potential has already sparked significant interest from industry, government, and academia. Carbon fibre will play a vital role in supporting safe storage solutions for the UK’s green #hydrogen economy. 💚 As part of the Centre of Expertise in Advanced Materials and Sustainability (CEAMS) pilot programme, the National Composites Centre (NCC) is investigating high-value #recycling methods for end-of-life pressure vessels to address this growing waste stream. ♻️ 🌍 The NCC recently had a great day at the AMRC, collaborating on the development of continuous #carbon #fibre recovery techniques from recycled pressure vessels and exploring technologies for remanufacturing.
