🌳 Wait... A Tree Growing Inside Nottingham Skills Academy? 🌳 You’d think so, wouldn’t you! But no—this masterpiece is the work of Gary Coles, a current learner at Nottingham Skills Academy (NSA), who’s brought creativity to life right here in our academy. Our NSA administrator, Joe Torralba, thought this was definitely worth sharing—and we couldn’t agree more! Gary (pictured right, alongside our amazing multi-skilled tutor Glyn Brumby before completing the project) has previously dabbled in plaster and brickwork. Now, he’s fine-tuning his skills with us on the 3-week Green Construction Operative (Plastering) Skills Bootcamp, which is funded by the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA). My assessor Harjinder Sangha was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Although I was confident in my knowledge, I was really nervous about the verbal assessment as I am not too keen on doing these kind of things, however he was brilliant, he put my mind at ease and made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole thing.
