ITV Central News visited Warwick Hospital to see how Consultant Connects technology is being used by West Midlands Ambulance Service and SWFT to decrease the strain on A&E departments and ensure patients get better, faster care. By treating people in the community, instead of in hospital, we have been able to close a surge ward, resulting in savings of more than £1.5 million in temporary staffing costs.
