A great day presenting at the Blue Earth Summit for Cool Earth 🌎 Our chair, Tony Juniper, took to the main stage to highlight the vital role of Indigenous wisdom in shaping sustainable solutions for our planet, and how Cool Earth empowers communities to protect their ancestral rainforest lands. Plus, we hosted our very own panel discussion, where we covered topics from community-led conservation and decolonising data, to implementing a conservation basic income for Indigenous communities. Thanks for all the wonderful support we have received so far 💙

We back people to protect rainforest and fight the climate crisis.
About us
We’re Cool Earth. We exist to champion the relationship between people, rainforest and climate. We raise and give cash directly, and partner with indigenous people and local communities on projects that tackle the root causes of deforestation. Right now the world is in a climate crisis. People have lived in balance with forest for thousands of years. The real rainforest experts, now face extreme injustice whilst living on the front line of the climate crisis. The most effective way to fight back is to protect the best carbon-storing technology that already exists: rainforest. And the best way to do that? Back, support and listen to the people living there with Cool Earth.

A 'Conservation Basic Income' could help to safeguard the natural world according to the World Economic Forum The good news? We are already piloting this approach in the Amazon rainforest! And after nearly a year in to the pilot, we've seen positive trends like improved nutrition and reduced financial pressure, allowing families in the rainforest to focus more on reforestation and conservation. This approach tackles both climate and social challenges. Shout out to the World Economic Forum for this great explainer video. 💚

🌿 Pamuk Bakau is an association of over 130 Awajún Indigenous families, working together to protect their rainforest home through sustainable cacao production. Since 2017, Cool Earth has partnered with them to regenerate abandoned cacao plots, providing tools and training to boost livelihoods in harmony with the forest. By supporting their growth, we're also supporting the fight against climate change and protecting the Amazon.

Indigenous peoples have spent thousands of years establishing a balanced relationship with the rainforest.🌳 A relationship where resources are used sustainably because the health of the rainforest is connected to the health of the communities that live alongside the forest. To truly protect the rainforest and combat climate change, we need to embrace traditional knowledge and stand for Indigenous rights.

The wonderful TBCo are fundraising for Cool Earth this weekend 🌍 💚 They're looking at an 11 mile bike ride through the Welsh countryside before a 10 mile hike up and down Mount Snowdon. And as if that wasn't enough, they are finishing with a 3 mile kayak across a glacial lake. 🤯 Here they are training before the big day. We wish them the best of luck!
