🌱Research confirms: Women-led firms achieve higher ESG scores. Companies with women on boards perform better across renewable energy and emissions reduction metrics. Yet they receive pennies on the dollar in climate funding. We are tackling the climate crisis with one hand tied behind our backs. Can we really afford to sideline half (and some of our best) problem-solvers? It is time to fund women as they build a new, green and just tomorrow. #FairTransitionForAll |#AccelerateAction | #SHEChangesClimate

The ripple effect of women’s leadership in green sectors can’t be ignored. As we transition away from fossil fuels, we have to contend with two facts. 🌱 There will be job losses, including loss of jobs for women. 🌱 Women are on track to fill just 25% of new green jobs. The solution might be simpler than we think: Supporting women entrepreneurs. #FairTransitionForAll | #SHEChangesClimate | #AccelerateAction

✨ This #InternationalWomensDay, Executives in the Wild is celebrating powerful women leading the way in business and nature. ✨ Half of our episodes so far have showcased incredible women leaders — namely Esther Netshivhongweni, Mamta Borgoyary and Kat Bruce. As Executive Director of SHE Changes Climate, Mamta's episode naturally zoomed in on the critical role of gender in climate and nature leadership. Through her justice work, Mamta is dedicated to amplifying the voices of women including Indigenous women and women from the Global South, to ensure that they are heard in climate-related negotiations and decision making. She actively embraces time in nature as a team leader, and a three-day mountain trek with her team of 40 provided great insights: “I saw who should be placed where. Who should be leading what. What are their weaknesses. What are their strengths. And most importantly, what, as a leader, is my inner strength and what are my weaknesses? I think that what I draw inspiration from and what I feel the world needs today is what Mother Nature is, what is inherent in nature, which is nurture, which is compassion, which is care, which is love, which is resilience, which is strength. Leadership today, at every level, from politics to the ground level, requires feminine, nature-driven, skills.” 🎧 Mamta’s episode: https://lnkd.in/eiR-JPFQ 📖 Better Worlds "Mirroring the Yin of Nature" https://lnkd.in/eE55HFNY Do you know a woman executive with an inspiring nature and leadership story? The climate leaders we need are already at work. Today, we launch the 🌱Green Economies, Powered By Women 🌱 campaign to spotlight women entrepreneurs driving climate solutions across sectors—not just as participants, but as architects of a new, green and just economic paradigm. Over the coming weeks, we will amplify success stories from Brazil, Asia, and Africa—regions where women are pioneering innovations despite significant barriers and the worst impacts of climate change—alongside evidence that gender equity accelerates climate progress. Our goal is to build a compelling case for investing in women’s climate leadership because sustainability requires not just new technologies, but also new systems of power. #FairTransitionForAll | #WomensDay2025 | #AccelerateAction | #SHEChangesClimate | #IWD2025

Climate Resilience for All is honored to chair the Climate and Health track at the World Health Summit Regional Meeting 2025 in New Delhi, India (April 25–27) hosted by NIMS University and the World Health Summit Academic Alliance. 🙌🇮🇳 The Summit’s theme “Scaling Access to Ensure Health Equity,” clearly aligns with our mission to address the disproportionate impacts of extreme heat on vulnerable populations, including women and marginalized communities. These exciting sessions will push and challenge the global dialogue on heat-related health impacts and spotlight immediate and long-term solutions, such as policy-driven "adaptation for health" strategies and women-centered initiatives. Experts and partners across intersecting fields will share cutting-edge insights and highlight how systemic inequalities exacerbate heat vulnerabilities and economic and societal costs, particularly for low-income women and informal workers. We will view this work through the lens of the new realities of our international operating environment. 👀🫠 CRA will also be hosting a fun, useful side-event and making an exciting announcement with our fantastic partners! In the heart of the Atlantic, the #Azores are a sanctuary for some of the ocean’s most elusive creatures—but with rising tourism, overfishing, and climate change, these waters face growing threats. In São Miguel, one research team is working to bridge a critical data gap in shark and ray conservation. 🦈 The Edges of Earth Collective met with Fátima Pérez Neira and Antonio Sabuco Blaya of Elasmobase Azores, a nonprofit pioneering new research to track migratory giants like hammerheads and mobula rays. With the help of local dive shops, fishermen, and ecotourism operators, they’re building the largest database of its kind—one that could shape marine conservation in the Azores for years to come. 👉 Follow along as Andi Cross explores the fight to protect these incredible marine species and the delicate ecosystems they call home. https://lnkd.in/dDjMFPei #EdgesOfEarth #SHEChangesClimate | Gallifrey Foundation #SHEChangesOcean
