    61% of Workers Lie About Their Salary to Colleagues 😐 A recent study by Self Financial surveyed 1,181 employees of various ages and income brackets about how they discuss their salaries with colleagues. Key findings from this study include: 👉 82.6% of respondents believe that all employees' salaries in the workplace should be transparent. 👉 Older employees (Baby Boomers) are less likely to openly discuss their salaries with colleagues compared to younger employees (Gen Z). 👉 Higher-paid employees are more likely to share their salary details with others compared to lower-paid workers. 👉 62.7% of workers have previously quit jobs after discovering they were underpaid compared to colleagues. 👉 61% of respondents admitted to having lied to colleagues about their salary in the past.     Fancy CVs…🎨🖌️ It’s often tempting to jazz up your CV—a picture here, a splash of colour there. While this might seem like a good way to make your CV stand out, it can actually create issues for recruiters and hiring managers. Including pictures on your CV opens the door to potential bias, which can conflict with a company’s equal opportunity policies. Although some recruiters might remove the photo for you, this will leave a gap in your CV. It’s best to omit pictures unless specifically requested. Adding colour and design elements is another common attempt by job seekers to make their CVs stand out. Don’t fall into this trap! CVs are frequently converted into different formats, which can alter or remove your design elements. Moreover, some hiring managers may view overly designed CVs as unprofessional. Keep your CV straightforward. Focus on highlighting the key skills relevant to the position you’re applying for, using keywords and examples from your career or life to demonstrate these abilities.
