Core Construction are a groundworks and civil engineering company based in Margaretting, Essex – covering Essex and the surrounding counties in addition to north and east London. The company was established in September 2011 by Will Hendry. Will has over 35 years’ experience of all aspects of the industry having worked for some of the largest groundworks companies in the region prior to forming Core Construction. Initially starting in the 1970’s as an excavator driver he worked his way through the industry, latterly in management roles – all of which gave an excellent overview for managing his own business. This broad range of experience means that Will is aware of the importance of having all areas of the company functioning properly, in order to continually provide a good service whilst striving for repeat custom. To date we have completed projects up to a value of £2m, however pride ourselves on embracing a range of projects in terms of value, scope and complexity. We have worked in residential, commercial, educational, industrial and healthcare sectors and recognise the challenges and constraints that these present. Previous clients have ranged from national housing developers, regional building contractor and self-builders. Core Construction pride themselves on client retention, forging relationships and offering the same enthusiastic service for repeat business as we do for opportunities with new clients. Working safely is paramount, and to underline this Core Construction currently hold CHAS and SMAS accreditations. To obtain these a rigorous application procedure is completed, detailing company processes, procedures, training and recent accident records.

AND WE'RE OFF! 💥 Works have started on our new project in Brentwood. Our guys are currently clearing the site, stripping the topsoil and forming the compound area in readiness to make a start on the plot works next week. This is the first of a few projects that we've secured recently so keep an eye on our Core Construction page for further announcements!

We are due to start the foundation works to block 5 at our project in Lexden for Kind & Co next week 💥 These works will be carried out alongside the retained façade of the existing building and with archaeologists in attendance. One to keep us thinking! 💭

Its been a VERY busy start to the year! 🚀 Some of the works on our current sites include the following. ✅ Installing trench sheets at Lexden ✅ Breaking up concrete obstructions ready for crushing at Brentwood ✅ Excavating groundbeams at Thorpe-Le-Soken ✅ Installing PCC block and beam floors at Clacton Our projects are varied but we are always striving to maintain our own high standards regardless of the works we are carrying out. It’s a pleasure to be involved alongside Kind & Co on this project in Bury St Edmunds 👏
We’re pleased to showcase our work on site since we began the new build care home at Cornwallis Court. Working adjacent to the existing care home, which remains fully operational, we have so far part-demolished some of the existing buildings at the rear of the site, have dug to basement level and are working on services. Oh... and we also had time to get festive in our site office to make things feel homely for our employees and everyone visiting the site in the run-up to the festive season!
