We are delighted to hear our completed project the refurbishment of Margaret Thatcher Infirmary (MTI), which we delivered for our client Royal Hospital Chelsea has been shortlisted at this year’s Healthcare Property design awards 2025 under the Category for ‘Best Interior Design’.   This project was delivered across six phases whilst the facility, which includes dedicated dementia wards, remained fully operational. We closely collaborated with our client and the design team throughout to meet their aspirations to transform the facility into a newly refurbished state of the art centre. A big congratulations to our client Royal Hospital Chelsea and to the Interior design team Park Grove Design Ltd. and of course to the rest of the design and consulting team involved Pace | Jefford | Moore Architects LLP Zeal Projects Cunnington Clark Ltd. and EMMAUS Consulting Limited a fantastic team for a fantastic quality refurbishment – we are keeping everything crossed for next month’s ceremony! #healthcare #health #care #Kind80 #kindeffect #quality

Look what we found on site at Lexden Gardens… We have had a myriad of interesting finds as we have progressed with carefully stripping back the Grade II listed block on site at Lexden Gardens. Our site team have been amused to find a cigarette packet within one of the walls – with the producers of said item dating back to the Edwardian period… a porter’s badge under the floorboards and an intact annual report dating back to 1925 which outlines all the benevolent donations gifted to the hospital that year! Alongside the ancient archaeological finds which have been uncovered, it is amazing to be able to learn more about the history of this iconic site in Colchester… who walked the corridors of this hospital and how the hospital ran in the early 20th Century? #welikerefurbs #refurbishment #retrofit #kind #kind80 #essexhousing #potterraper #Richardsonhill

We are moving forward with all three blocks at Lexden Gardens in Colchester and over the next few days will bring more on progress… Today we are focusing on the Refurbishment to the main block! Block 1 Ø Our team have enjoyed exposing original features inside this Grade II listed former hospital building.  Ø We have been working with our client and the project team to incorporate the uncovered features (such as the iron balustrade and ornate columns) into the design of the refurbishment of this building which once complete will bring 13 new flats within the block   Ø We have reclaimed 70% of the slate roofing Ø All timber and other materials have been locally sourced Ø No muck away or waste has left site as we have reused and repurposed all materials with the development #welikerefurbs #refurbishment #retrofit #kind #kind80 #essexhousing #potterraper #Richardsonhill
