At Wates, we’re proud to be making a real difference in Canada Water—not just by building structures, but by reimagining opportunities and helping communities thrive. https://lnkd.in/e7dUZhgB We were delighted to see Brian, Stephen, Sylvia and Kingsley featured in British Land’s First 100 Exhibition, showcasing the incredible individuals shaping this evolving community. Their journey to securing key roles on-site is a testament to the power of opportunity—and we’re proud to have played a part in it. But their success is only part of the story. Across Canada Water A1 and Printworks, we’ve helped dozens of unemployed local residents find sustainable work (equating to 61 six-month terms), supported 32 apprentices on their career journeys and delivered 132 training outcomes for Southwark residents. This is the impact that truly matters—building futures and creating places where people can thrive. A huge thank you to British Land, their development JV partner AustralianSuper, and our supply chain partners, O’Neill & Brennan UK, City Brickwork (UK) Ltd, The Erith Group and Cousins Group Ltd for their commitment to local skills and employment. #SocialValue #Employment #ConstructionCareers #CanadaWater #ReimaginingPlaces

  • Congrats to Costa and the team for sharing joint 1st place in the Canada Water Scoring Matrix Update! Although they scored the same as the top spot, they missed out by alphabetical order. This award highlights monthly performance across all contractors on the project. Recognition like this is key for future opportunities and building strong partnerships with our clients. "The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team." Great job, Costa and team. #Teamwork #Recognition #Award

  • Here's how we recently created a durable basement floor using a three-step process with Flowcrete's innovative products: We first prepared the floor with the use of mechanical abrasion. Hydraseal DPM Red was applied to seal the concrete substrate, providing a moisture-resistant base. Followed by a natural quartz blind layer. This not only enhances the floor's strength, but also provides a decorative, textured finish that is both slip-resistant and visually appealing. Finally, we topped it off with Flowcoat SF41, a high-performance epoxy coating. This apllication gives a seamless, glossy finish that is tough as it is attractive, perfect for high-traffic areas or spaces that demand a polished look. The result? A basement floor that combines resilience, practicality, and easy on the eye.
