We are delighted to share that we have been selected as a winner in TWO categories at the Sustainable Beauty Awards 2024! Our Ameyezing 4.0™ has won the Sustainable Beauty Ingredient gold award; a category recognising novel ingredients with sustainability features that make a difference in areas such as environmental impact and sustainable sourcing. Ameyezing 4.0 is a COSMOS approved eye contour enhancer that is effective on both hyperpigmented dark circles and vascular dark circles. Obtained from eco-designed supercritical CO2 extraction of Zingiber zerumbet rhizomes (more commonly known as wild ginger), full traceability is ensured from the field to the raw material delivery. The producer is committed to stimulating the local economy, respecting human rights, prohibiting child labour, and fighting against inequalities. Several certifications and labels, including For Life, Fair For Life, and organic farming (Ecocert), have been obtained. We have also won the silver award in Sustainable Leadership, in recognition of our comprehensive approach to incorporating sustainability into our operations. This ranges from our work to improve and evolve our portfolio of ingredients, to our work towards ambitious carbon reduction targets, and our dedication to continuous improvement of the impact of our supply chain. In 2022, we announced our aspiration to become Net Nature Positive, aligning with the global ambition defined by the Nature Positive Initiative. Over the past 12 months, working alongside like-minded peers, supported by WBCSD (World Business Council for Sustainable Development) and Quantis, has been invaluable for advancing our nature journey and accelerating collective progress in nature target setting. Target setting is a critical lever for corporate transformation and #TransitionPlanning. The Science Based Targets Network (SBTN) provides a comprehensive framework for companies to understand their relationship with nature. With Quantis' support, WBCSD brought together 12 companies in a #PreparerGroup to enhance understanding of SBTN methods, share best practices, and drive the development of nature targets. WBCSD have captured key insights from this collaboration in their latest briefing: https://ow.ly/nNrw50TKzcC
