British manufacturers of the finest quality architectural hardware.
About us
Croft is a leading British manufacturer of the finest architectural hardware with a long and distinguished family heritage. Our founder's grandfather first started manufacturing architectural hardware in 1868. Five generations later, we're still based in Willenhall in the West Midlands, the historic heart of the British lock and hardware industry and are now celebrating 150 years of family manufacturing history, 1868 - 2018. Over the course of almost 50 years, we have produced some of the most desirable door and window fittings available, all of which are made by hand by our highly experienced workforce. We combine traditional skills with modern manufacturing techniques and our ability to design and manufacture products to the very highest standards, means that we have acquired an unrivalled reputation for excellence. Every item is individually quality checked at the end of our authentic manufacturing process - it doesn't leave our factory until we're totally happy with it. Our craftsmen and engineers produce beautiful, quality fittings, built to stand the test of time. Our standard range includes over 1000 products, available in 27 different finishes and we hold a significant amount of our products in stock. Croft also manufactures a high volume of specialist bespoke items and have furnished many buildings of importance, such as royal palaces, government houses, historic castles and stately homes. We also supply to theatres, museums, hotels and private residences.

The clocks go back this weekend meaning that darker nights are creeping ever closer. Donna Howell captures the season beautifully with this stunning sash window - featuring our Cast Sash Lifts - that reminds us that we may be losing the light, but we’re gaining cosy evenings in, warm lighting, and plenty of seasonal joy.

Our products are on display in the Museum of the Home! Earlier this year we were approached by TODI AND BOYS to supply the window furniture for the Real Rooms project with the Museum of the Home. We supplied Straight Arm Sash Fasteners, Cast Sash Lifts, and Square Edge Sash Pulleys in a Polished Brass Unlacquered finish for the recreation of an East London tenement flat in 1913. The Polished Brass finish will naturally patina over time to create a beautiful, aged finish befitting the early 1900’s. Our far-reaching and versatile portfolio is the key factor in us having the opportunity to be a part of historical exhibits, and we are proud to have supported such an important project. Earlier this year we launched our smallest Rose, the Minimalist Rose. Barely there but beautiful, the Minimalist Rose is compatible with our Elements and Classic door levers, as well as our Classic knobs. At only 26mm in diameter the Minimalist Rose sits unobtrusively on the door, creating a clean aesthetic and giving the hardware space to take centre stage.
