    Starting your first 'real' job outside of education can be daunting, but according to our new Associate Consultant, Helena, who joined Curve last month, it’s been a fantastic experience. Helena shares that the strong support system at Curve has made all the difference.   From day one, Helena was paired with a buddy to answer questions and provide support. She says, “Being paired with a buddy right from the start made me feel welcomed and supported. The various training sessions in the office have been incredibly helpful in building my practical skills and getting to know the team. But it’s not just the structured sessions—I’ve found that my day-to-day interactions and learning from my colleagues have significantly contributed to my growth.”   Being in the office most days has allowed Helena to absorb a wealth of knowledge just by being around and learning from the team. Helena shares, “A key reason I chose this role was the chance to work closely with the team. Being in the office most days has made it really easy to get quick answers and advice whenever I need it. This supportive environment has been especially helpful in my first job, and it’s a huge difference from working remotely. It’s been incredibly valuable for my growth.”.   Helena adds that the learning and growth extends beyond just the office environment. She has also enjoyed the summer social event, chatty lunches, and short walks with the team, which have all contributed to her feeling quickly integrated. She’s excited about the continuous learning opportunities and the personal development Curve supports.     Last week, the Curve team paddled our way through the challenge of canoeing and kayaking at the Olympic Park in Hackney Wick 🛶 It was a great opportunity to get out of the office and into the sunshine, working together in a new setting. We even managed to all stay afloat (this year)!

The highlight being video messages from the team congratulating Alicia and James on building Curve to the company it is today, as well as reminiscing on all of our favourite moments to date!

    💭 What is digital consumer research, and why is it powerful?   Just as all methods and processes evolve over time, so too must the way we conduct consumer research. To truly understand the modern consumer we must study them where they are today - online! That's where digital research comes in.   Our Head of Growth, Emily, discusses the power of digital research in allowing us to study consumer behaviour and preferences “in the wild”.   “Digital research means leveraging the huge digital footprint consumers leave online. It means unlocking consumer and category understanding by tapping into what people are searching in search engines online, what people are posting and engaging with on social media platforms, what people are writing in product reviews, how they move across different websites and webpages… and the list goes on.”   In short, Digital Research provides us with "the perfect quali-quant blend.     This week saw the getting together of the Asahi Europe & International Innovation team in brilliant Budapest. This was our first face to face meeting since I have been in role and what a great week it was. We had a full day of future thinking focused on consumer centric, brand agnostic idea generation using work from Curve Analytics. The creativity and energy from the team was an inspiration and the ideas were fantastic. Thanks to all the team for the energy and creating connections. (Some of us even managed a lovely run along the Danube!).

    🏁 Introducing the Curve F1 Step Challenge! May marks Mental Health Awareness month, and what better way to improve our mental health than getting active and enjoying some summer rays. Over the last few weeks, Curvitos have been split into F1 teams which have been competing at different “circuits” to see who will be crowned Step Challenge champions! Each week sees a new circuit with a new minimum target of daily steps. As the competition heats up our teams have found plentiful ways of squeezing in steps while squeezing in the fun!
